[WIP] Dragon Ball Super Recut [TeamBlackRose]

Been working on this project with someone else for a while. Yes, I'm aware of the "Enhanced Edition". This project was being made since before that was even a rumor lol. With the current rumors of the Black arc and TOP arcs not being done before the release of galactic patrol, this will work as a way to watch those before that comes out. There will also be people who prefer the original release, this works for that too!

To decide on what was kept and what was cut, we looked at all 3 versions of the story (Z Movies, Anime and Manga), and found shared scenes, jokes, etc. If something appeared in 2 or more versions, it was considered fully canon and not considered to be removed. The rest of cuts were for pacing and only made if cutting did not affect the story in any negative way.



This is most comparable to TeamKienzan's Z Recut, as I'm a member of that team. However, this is by a different team, TeamBlackRose. We've worked hard to maintain those quality standards.

Special care was given to maintain the original soundtrack placements, no changes. Audio is Japanese, has English and Spanish subtitles.

Arc Edits Info:

Battle of Gods - Movie and Anime have been merged in correct chronological order, for a full experience. Episode 1 serves as an introduction, keeping some elements that are not in the movie but are in the anime and manga. From episode 3 onwards its all movie. Episode total: 5 (movie ends in episode 4)

Resurrection 'F' - Movie and Anime have been merged in chronological order, keeping the training to obtain SSJ Blue, and how Goku and Vegeta get there. A couple of Champa scenes from the anime are included. Episode total: 5

Universe 6 Tournament - Fluff and flashbacks removed, some fights have been reduced in length, a lot of reaction shots have been removed. Episode total: 7

Black Future - A lot of the pilaf gang scenes have been removed, including lots of kid Mai longing for Trunks. Fights can be made shorter, repeated scenes deleted, streamlined the story. Goku being dumb one liners removed (This doesnt remove them when its neccesary for the plot, unfortunately). Episode total: 12

Tournament of Power - (Only Recruitment for now) Fluff removed, subplots removed, prezence matches shortened, recruitment section streamlined. Entire plot of super saiyan through a back tingle removed. Episode total for recruitment: 9

Additional Info:
- If arcs seem too short from numbers, its because episode lengths are different, and can be longer than original episodes. We have decided to keep them this way instead of sticking to a specific length for better pacing and theming of episodes.
- We have included EX episodes and .5 episodes. EX are extended editions, which restore a little bit of fun filler to a canon episode. .5 episodes are completely skippable and only filler, but included because its good and fun. They also contain edits.
- English and Latam Spanish dubs will be added in the future!

I see, so you're gonna cross reference the three continuitiies to determine what story parts are shared and thus uncuttable and what is not. pretty clever

one quick question, which scene did u use for when goku rebounce back against beerus last attack? was it the movie one or the DBS anime one? cuz in the movie and manga, goku is able to use SSG on that last part, albeit briefly on the movie end but in the anime he does not. i think the movie is approach is more consistent. did u keep the ''am using 80% of my power'' from the movie or did u remove it? am pretty sure u removed the ''beerus used 70% of his power'' line which is a no brainer

also, did u consider ajay's approach when he did BOG/ROF?

i'm already downloading SOM's CC and neo raws and my internet and storage could only take so much. i'll get to it when i'll get to it, no harm in asking beforehand

For the rebounce back, we use the movie version. For the percentage of power line, we actually did remove it. When it comes to ajay's approach... its similar, but that works more for a movie and ours works better for an episodic release. It has a couple similar things, but ours follows more the anime timeline and canon. We hope when you are able to check it out, you enjoy it!

Are there any plans to bring this project to the English dub?

As Hydrus mentioned, yes, the first arc already has English dub, and the entire project will get the english dub AND latin american spanish dub eventually. English will also get Signs and Songs and Dubtitles tracks!
