Well the later movies gave Piccolo the red belt so this is not entirely accurate, lol.

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I’m gonna say as far as I’ve seen of Super definitely by far Future Trunks’ entire timeline just being erased by Zeno
It made literally everything Future Trunks suffered through and fought for completely pointless and was a major insult and disrespect to every single person in that timeline
All the Future Z fighters deaths , Future Gohan’s death, Future Trunks’ struggles to save his timeline, Bulma’s miraculous creation of the Time Machine , Mai’s Rebellion army , etc. ALL became entirely pointless bc some omnipotent little toddler who erased EVERYTHING the future heroes worked for
So imo THAT is the lamest thing to come outta the series most recently bc it seriously irks me to no end and seriously pisses me off
That and also probably the entirety of DAIMA from what I’ve seen so far the new villain designs look absolutely stupid looking and yea extremely lame
"Super Saiyan Rosé" is also a dumb name. The "é" is completely unnecessary.

His purple shirt slightly changed starting with the Android/Cell arc, gaining a low cut V-neck.
But it's a minuscule change. Gokuu's attire didn't change much in the original manga once he got his orange gi (actually, his gi was often colored orange even in the Pilaf arc), either. He got the blue undershirt and boots starting with the Ma Junior arc, but the only things that changed in the Saiyan and Freeza arcs were the kanji. He ditched the kanji entirely and replaced the belt with a sash starting with the Android/Cell arc, but again, these are only small changes. It wasn't until the very end of the manga that Gokuu switched to a mostly new outfit.

Isn't that the whole point? Zamasu is flamboyant, filled with vanity and self-importance, so it makes sense he'd add pointless stuff just to stroke his own ego.
SSR isn't even a new form, or not entirely at least. It's just SSB attained by a divine soul instead of a mortal. But Zamasu is so hopelessly proud of himself that he'll act like it's an entirely new level of power, when it's just another thing he stole from Goku.
At his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

The "é" is needlessly tacky, and annoying to type out. It should've just been called "Super Saiyan Rose" without any accent. "Rosé" is a wine, not the name of a color.

That's the point. Zamasu as a villain is masterfully-written. Everything about him is made with a purpose. He could've said "rose" like the color, but he's a pompous brat so he said "rosé" to be "needlessly tacky". Again, the story isn't subtle, the characters literally call him out on his nonsense and fart-sniffing. This is just one more detail that adds character to Zamasu.
Also, it really isn't annoying to type out. It's a letter on the keyboard like any other. If you don't want to press shift (or whatever button you need to push on your keyboard to get é), just write Rosè.

Just because he's a pompous brat doesn't mean he has to be an idiot. There's no sense in saying "Rosé" as if it's the name of a color when it's not. He wanted to model the name after "Super Saiyan Blue", which is named after its color. SSB isn't named after wine, so that raises the question of why Gokuu Black's form is.
It's just a very forced pun Toriyama came up with, naming a rose-colored transformation after Rosé. Alcohol puns were only supposed to be for Hakaishin and Tenshi, though, so it's just random.
If you don't want to press shift (or whatever button you need to push on your keyboard to get é), just write Rosè.
You can't write "Rosé" without going through all those other steps.

I'm never going to take the extra effort to type the name correctly, but I do agree that it being so extra adds a bit to his character, and is funny. Dragon Ball is funny sometimes.
This is me reading way too much into it, but given the Zero Mortals plan and his whole deal in general, it would make sense that Zamasu would name his form after an alcohol as a way to position himself as a new god of destruction.
I mean, isn't he? The comparison already exists in the text. When Zamasu starts talking about taking wiping out evil mortals, Gowasu insists that's the Destroyers' job, not theirs. Then Zamasu goes and kills him and every other Kaioshin in the multiverse, wiping out their counterpart Destroyers at the same time, and starts their job for them.
Not saying it was Toriyama's intent or anything, but it's weirdly fitting.

Hakaishin don't just kill mortals; they destroy entire planets as well. Zamasu wanted to kill all mortals, but keep the planets intact as he considered them beautiful.
Furthermore, Hakaishin destroy specifically to keep balance in the universe. Zamasu didn't care anything about balance.
