Would it have been possible to seal Zamasu inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber ?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Would it have been possible to seal Zamasu inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber ?

Post by SorikaiWolf89 » Thu Aug 20, 2026 8:33 pm

Think about it bc it makes perfect sense to me since Goku forgot the sealing jar they could have went back to the present timeline and just wished for Zamasu to be sealed inside the chamber forever ♾️ in Trunks’ timeline since Zamasu is immortal and the chamber is an infinite space

The only problem is nobody will be able to train in there anymore in Trunks’ timeline bc obviously Zamasu is sealed in there and would want to desperately get revenge on whoever enters

Which btw as far as I know the Time Chamber WAS still around in Trunks’ timeline bc the Androids, Cell , Goku Black , and Zamasu did not know about its existence otherwise they would’ve most likely destroyed it or maybe even used it themselves to get even stronger

It wouldn't work as an effective prison. We see Boo very easily get out of it with a kiai.

He would eventually find his way to break the extraphysical barrier between the ROSAT and the Normal Dimension just like Super Boo did.

Zamasu also knows Kai Kai, which is more advanced than Shunkan Ido, so it would probably allow him to escape from it as well.

It is important to note what you said though that you're specifically imagining a scenario where they "wish" to seal him in the ROSAT.

Well, I can only imagine the characters asking that to Super Shenlong, or other Dragon that doesn't have any power restriction to do that to Zamasu.
That would be the only way to imprison him I believe until someone decided to break the seal, similar to how it was done to Piccolo Daimao and Garlic Jr.

lol I actually forgot about that bc I only saw that episode once so far as the Buu Saga is my least rewatched season bc well it’s not exactly my favorite arc

Anyway this time though I think it would be different bc the Goku squad can use the Super Dragonballs now
Use the 1st wish to trap Zamasu inside the Time Chamber, a 2nd wish to permanently remove the door/exit/entrance, and a 3rd wish making it impossible to teleport out of with Kai Kai

I’m thinking something similar to the Dead Zone which is basically an infinite black hole space prison

You got it ! 👍😁👍
That’s exactly the scenario I’m imagining!
For example Goku can use the Super Dragonballs to make 3 wishes specifically for sealing Zamasu inside the Time Chamber

Wish #1: Trap Zamasu deep inside the Time Chamber

Wish #2 : Permanently remove the door /exit /entrance

Wish #3 : Make it impossible to teleport out of with Kai Kai or any other teleportation techniques

So basically it’ll be like creating a variation of the Dead Zone except this one is impossible to break out of bc of the specific wishes to trap Zamasu inside essentially forever ♾️ since he’s immortal

Whoever says the wishes will have to say them extremely fast in rapid succession though plus the dragon 🐉 has to grant them immediately so Zamasu doesn’t have even the slightest window to escape

At least he’ll have comfy beds and a bath in there if he doesn’t permanently destroy them in frustration as he’ll quickly realize those things are literally his ONLY comfort in that hellish limbo

Yep he’s definitely gonna go even more insane than he already was and eventually try to kill himself to no avail
It’s dark and brutal as hell but that’s eventually the ultimate fate of someone who’s an immortal evil being
Bet he’s seriously gonna regret being immortal then …☠️

Don't the Super Dragon Balls only grant one wish? At that point, just use them to take away his immortality and kill him.

Yeah or just do that bc I forgot he can only grant one single wish
The scenario I’m imagining MIGHT still be possible with Parunga bc he can grant 3 wishes if I remember right
The main question being :
Will it be within his power to seal up such a powerful immortal being ?

If the question is whether or not Porunga could make the Room of Spirit and Time escape-proof, the answer is probably no. It took a high Super Saiyan 3-level of power to rip a hole between dimensions, that seems way past the limits of a dragon god tied to Moori.

Ok in that case I guess that answers my question then that it probably wouldn’t be possible to seal Zamasu inside the Time Chamber
The best thing you can wish for to defeat him is just to wish away his immortality on the Super Dragonballs like you said

Unless the Dead Zone is seen as canon then you can seal him in there by wishing it on the Super Dragonballs OR just use the Mafuba sealing jar like Roshi originally intended to do

Kai Kai is the most powerful teleportation technique in the setting. It's superior even to the Angels which is why they use Nahare to travel to Zeno's Palace outside the universes instead of Whis. It doesn't require a fixed anchor somewhere else like Goku's IT. Is there any particular reason why Zamasu shouldn't be able to leave the chamber with Kai Kai?
At his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

There are limitations to Kai Kai, otherwise Nahare would be able to teleport to from earth to demon world at will. In demon world Nahare couldn't teleport to the location that he wanted, he needed Warp to get to his location.

If Nahare couldn't use Kai Kai to get from earth to demon world, then it is possible that Kai Kai wouldn't work inside the ROSAT.

No way, he has so many resources, he has teleportation, he has the Time Ring and like mentioned before, even Super Buu and Gotenks managed to break free with just their raw power.

I guess the Time Ring can take him to a moment in time when the ROSAT doesn't exist anymore or wasn't even built yet. I don't remember how it works, but it was basically a time machine, IIRC.

Daima actually correctly remembers that it's Kibito that has the ability to teleport in Dragon Ball, so we don't see anyone attempt to use that technique in the demon world. Though it's true that Kibito couldn't teleport to the demon world from Earth.

Tbh if I'm remembering of the Garlic Jr filler arc correctly, the Dead Zone should be even easier to break out of. Garlic Jr was able to escape with the power up he received from the Makyo Star, and even at his strongest, he was still in the same ballpark as post-Freeza Gohan and Piccolo. The Mafuba really seems to be the only fool-proof sealing method in Dragon Ball.

Yeah that definitely seems to be the case
It must be its own dimension or something in there as probably even the Time Ring or Kai Kai wouldn’t work in that limbo space

Whis and Beerus said that they have a sealing technique far superior compared to the Mafuba, however we never got to see it, it was only mentioned by them.

We never see it in action, but I'm pretty sure they're talking about how Beerus sealed Elder Kaioshin in the Z-Sword 75 million years ago

Yeah that’s true that it was never explained just how or why he got sealed in the sword in the first place 🤔
Maybe Beerus just got tired of all the Elder Kai’s blabbering and criticism so that’s why he got sealed up for so freakin long
That sounds like something Beerus would do as he’s very easily annoyed 😅
