With that much money they can do amazing things. I wonder how it will relate to the Saudi-based park.

Recently, some media outlets have reported that a "Dragon Ball" theme park is planned for construction in France. However, Toei Animation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President: Katsuhiro Takagi) and the rights holders involved have not granted any licenses regarding this project, and we are not aware of any such fact.
Furthermore, the concept images and videos of the theme park used in these reports were all used in a joint announcement made by Toei Animation and Qiddiya Investment Company of Saudi Arabia on March 22, 2024, and pertain to the theme park planned for construction in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia. These images and videos are completely unrelated to the aforementioned reports.

So weird that they would announce it then.TheRed259 wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2026 12:17 am https://corp.toei-anim.co.jp/ja/press/p ... 87591.htmlRecently, some media outlets have reported that a "Dragon Ball" theme park is planned for construction in France. I cannot believe that France planned and announced it without getting any licenses beforehand. That's something Latin America would do (and I know that as a Latin American) but it is unexpected from France.TheRed259 wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2026 12:17 am https://corp.toei-anim.co.jp/ja/press/p ... 87591.htmlRecently, some media outlets have reported that a "Dragon Ball" theme park is planned for construction in France. The official DB Site talks about the one in Saudi Arabia as being the "World's ONLY Dragon Ball Theme Park", so Toei / Shueisha / Iyoku only recognize that one as an official DB theme park.
I wonder what's up with these other unofficial theme parks though, there is also the one being built in Peru, and why nearly at the same time?

Maybe they are being built as a way to honor Toriyama's legacy?angeldreamZ004 wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2026 11:22 pm I wonder what's up with these other unofficial theme parks though, there is also the one being built in Peru, and why nearly at the same time?

Well I actuallly meant something behind other than money and honoring the series XD But yeah I think that's a good theory given how they all started after 2024.Tian wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 1:02 am Maybe they are being built as a way to honor Toriyama's legacy?
