Domesday Duplicator and Dragon Ball

Does anyone know if there has been any project used to archive Dragon Ball media through Domesday Duplicator? I figure it would be the best way to capture original broadcasts and things like the edited FUNi dub as it would capture the tapes in the best quality (if not better than their DVD counterparts)

Internet Archive has had the edited vhs and Toonami broadcast episodes often in that “clearly recorded on a vhs in the early 2000s” quality. Not sure about Doomsday Duplicator.

Though I still never understood the fixation to persevere the edited dub. It’s like wanting to own the tv broadcast of a Pg-13 movie with awkward out of place tv safe dubbed in lines and random cuts. The uncut original dub is the “truest” form of that dub. I don’t care for the original in-house Funi dub but I get why people want access to that version. The Cartoon Network and vhs edit is just what was required to get the show on tv and make the series safe to buy for parents who don’t like seeing parental guidance on their kids media but don’t clutch their pearls when the characters on tv aren’t holding hands and singing the word of Jesus.

I'm not the biggest fan of the original inhouse Funimation dub, much less the edited version but as someone with a degree in Sociology I still find the changes made to get Dragon Ball on TV interesting and think the edited dubs are worth preserving for that reason. Obviously they are a footnote, rather than a milestone but the record of them is worth keeping around for the sake of comparison.

I also find it interesting to compare the way different countries edited the show, as Dragon Ball Z and GT had even more edits on TV3 in New Zealand than the Toonami US broadcasts, so I'm glad recordings of those airings exist for fans to analyse too.
