I just watched the Muscle Tower episodes last night and one character I think could fit in this game who I don't see mentioned very often (although I do see a mention a few pages ago) is Sgt. Metallic. He can shoot a missile from his mouth, he's got the explosive fists he can fire. He's got a full moveset. Underrated character.

Even though we have Chi Chi in the game now I think there's still a case to be made for Kid Chi Chi cause of the boomerang and laser in her helmet.

Tamborine, Cyborg Tao, and Arale should be in there.

I'm really enjoying the new DLC so far. The new mode is fun. The 100 missions mode (which I'm aware came out before this DLC) is fun. I like the new characters I've played as so far. Invader Zim as Chilled is great. Kame House as a stage is great. My only complaint is I played through all 4 of the new stories and didn't encounter a single "What If" except for the choice for Krillin to kill 18 but then you just fight 16 and she gets absorbed anyway. I see there are some missions across the 4 that I haven't accomplished the pre-requesite but I don't know what they want me to do. I'll have to replay some of them.

Characters that I can see being added in a Moro pack next year:

Moro (Old)
Moro (Young)
Moro (Seven-Three absorbed)
Moro (Perfected Ultra Instinct)
Daikaioh
Merus
Cranberry
Seven-Three
Gaint Seven-Three
Miza
Iwaza
Kikaza

UI Goku will probably get a new ultimate special

Saganbo should be part of that DLC, too.

-UI Goku: new skin with the scar on his chest, a new ultimate (Susanoo) and some other moves as well (that killer punch that put Moro to sleep should be included).

-Vegeta: new skin (Yadrat), and a new ultimate or perhaps a new ability (Spirif Fission), I guess it could be a skill that for 15-20 seconds deals way more damage or depletes the enemy's ki.

-All Moros should have a skill that allows themto deplete your health bar without landing any blows while increasing their own. Like the Imperfect Cell forms but better.

-Dai Kaio sama could be a Mr. Buu skin.

Thinking even more far ahead, would a Granny DLC introduce a new set of dragon balls? the Daima DLC didn't but the Granola dragon was way more relevant than Daima's. It'd be like a cheat code dragon... although new wishes should be introduced.

To know what to do, display the map in the corner of the chapter selection and aim for battles that have unfinished lines branching (little what-if that ends very quickly) or big lines going beyond the map (big what-ifs with Sparking Episodes).

When the fight starts, pause the game and ask to see the mission details to see the regular objective and the alternate objective that will branch out the story into a new direction if you are on Normal difficulty (although using a Dragon Orb allows you to set it to Easy and automatically go for the alternate story).

Each of those new character episodes contain basically only one big what-if, the rest being minor alternate events that circle back to the normal story or premature endings.

Make it two! Was just thinking about them the other day in relation to Sparking!ZERO roster :D

Moro DLC Stages

-Namek is already in-game.
-Space, already in-game.
-ROSAT, already in-game.
-Kami's too, Piccolo beats up some goons up there.

Exclusive for the arc:
-Galactic Patrol HQ where Moro was.
-Wasteland, an actual wasteland instead of Rocky Land, the final battle happens in a wasteland, no mountains or cliffs.
-Yadrat (unlikely).

Granola DLC Stages

This one might require some good work for the many planets they visit (unlikely)

-Cereal Planet (day and night)
-Cereal Planet -Woods
-Galactic Patrol HQ (from previous DLC)
-Another planet maybe for the Shunkanido ride (unlikely).

While it's crazy to think they would add 3 or 4 stages + a bunch of characters and new ultimates, if it's covering an on-going series I think it might actually deserve some story mode battles about the new TV arcs. An Episode Battle on Cereal Planet, for example.

I actually brought him up here the other day! He and Murasaki would be excellent.

To me, Metallitron is a much better choice than Hatchan.

Hatchan is cooler and a better character, but for a fighting game, Metallitron is the better option. Hatchan doesn't fight except when Goku is in trouble, so he could be a cool Ultimate for a Goku skin.
Metallitron fought Goku, he was a big bad, and kept on going until his batteries ran out. He was the first one that seemed unstoppable. Goku wasn't saved by the bell... but close enough.
Tao Pai Pai aside, he was the strongest RRA member, and had a cool moveset, too.

But I guess Hatchan is a fan-favourite and also an old school character from this game series.

It kinda feels like double standards, when playing as DB characters that can't fly, except for Demon King Piccolo and Ma Junior. This lead me to the idea of how cool could it be, to have 23rd Budokai stage, to have at least some roleplay place for these and could accomodate also the others with extended overmap, like the default stage has.
And still missing Universe 6 Tournament stage, Tsufuru planet, Candy Hell. Each series omitted from mainstream (not being Z) could have at least one specific stage if nothing.

Anyways, Sgt. Metallic is a great character! Funny, that I've started my rewatch before Super remaster, even tho I can't realistically catch-up and finish and am at Red Ribbon Arc and finished Muscle Tower as well. I was caught off-guard not seeing the series in ages, how much moves and fighting Metallic did! It's almost criminal that he's not in the game, in comparison to Pansy, Cheelai and other characters that I'd try once and never play as.

There are not many slots left for me to get the characters I really miss. Besides Metallic, it's mostly missing forms like Garlic (even tho he just held the God by neck and didn't fight at all – but there goes Babidi!), Sauzer from Cooler Squadron is my favorite character completely missing. I think the game is almost perfect, just missing a lot of costumes and better and actual accessory/customization options.
I do hope, that with Super Remaster, we might get some missing stages from the show as a cross-promo support :)

But Sauza is in the game now, and he is pretty cool. We just need the other two.

And yeah, Panzy and Cheelai aren’t even fighters, and I’ve only played them when I was trying all the other new characters. I haven’t met anybody online that uses them. Panzy is an obscure character from a short series that isn’t even that great, and they chose to include her while leaving out all three of its main fighters, just to cater to snobs and contrarians I guess.
Cheelai… ehh, I can think of at least 10 characters that I’d have over her and the other old dude that pilots the ship. It's like including Umigame.

Damn! I have completely missed him in the roster! :wtf:
Have to take him through Limit Breaker mode, now!

Okay, just received TEN Dragon Orbs as a connection gift!
Now THAT's a generous gift to more easily unlock ten what-ifs! 8)

As a reminder, Dragon Orbs will automatically set the course direction of the current battle towards the what-if events, even on Easy mode and even without meeting the required special conditions.

With the release of DBS Beerus and this game having a DLC coming out in a month, it should be solely focused on DBS.

Stages:
Beerus's planet
Capsule Corp / Bulma's ship (CC is already in-game, so it probably will be that one)
Underground Cave (maybe)
U6 Tourney Arena (a must if DBS is getting all the hype)
Kaio's planet (already in-game)

RoF has no exclusive stages to offer.

Characters:

Shisami
Tagoma
Botamo
Magetta
1st Frost
2nd Frost
Pilaf (maybe adding his machine)

Costumes:
Beerus (Monaka)
Goten (Detective Conan from BoG)
Trunks (BoG)
Videl (BoG)
Krilin (Cop or Tacos)
A-18 (BoG)

I seem to remember them saying October was when we'd learn more about their future plans, not that we're actually getting anything new.

And I don't want to be pessimistic, but if it's not a massive DLC that takes an unusual amount of time to prepare (probably named METEOR), then it would probably be the formula of classic DLC having like ten characters (including transformations) and zero stage, or just one at most if they make efforts (like they did only once for the Demon Realm map) and zero costume or just one at most if they make efforts (like they did only once for Piccolo's Red Ribbon disguise).

Oh right, it was just more news, but still there should be a DLC soon to ride the Beerus' hype.

And while I doubt we'll get many things (everything related to BoG and RoF except for Shisami and Tagoma are already present), the in-game stages probably could be unlocked, like Capsule Corp or Kaio's planet. And some skins.

Beerus' planet and the Champa Arena should be no-brainiers since the game will be co-existing with the anime of those arcs. Maybe for now just add one new stage: Beerus' planet; saving U6 related content for when that arc premieres that probably will be around the second quarter of 2027.

The season will only be 20 episodes long, so the Champa arc should start sometime in January if Beerus and Golden Freeza are 6-7 episodes each.
