If it works out there may be compensation.

Selling anything Dragonball related with out owning the distribution rights is considered copyright infringement. Also, double-posting, is kind of annoying (and so is triple-posting), especially when your posts aren't saying anything majorly important, which happens to be against the rules, which you agreed to follow.

Shayden, I'm not trying to burst your bubble here but, think about what you're asking people to do. All you have given us to work with is a 30 line summary of a story somewhat based off something someone else wrote. (I'm not trying to criticize your ideas, I just think you need to bring more to the table such as original artwork, music, a more condensed and detailed script, or knowledge of creating quality animation) You've clearly put a lot of thought into this but what you're basically asking is for us to do 95% of the work here. I think what you've got could make a good fanfiction story, but you've got to remember that a place like say, fanfiction.net has nearly 30,000 dragonball related entrees. For someone to be willing to put that much work into animating a fanmade story it must clearly stand out among the rest, and while it's perfectly okay to showcase your fanfiction here you have to attain a certain amount of popularity before you can even suggest going further with it. To be perfectly honest anyone with the ability you are looking for would probably rather animate their own story first anyways, because I'm pretty sure every single one of us have humored the thought of writing the ultimate new dragonball story.

To sum up this post, learn to crawl before you run. Start with fanfiction and if it hits off you never know what people will be willing to do.

You have put it nicer then I ever could have. Thank you for psychically taking my rage and putting into a well thought out child friendly paragraph.

I'd animate it totally on After Effects for the lulz.
But seriously, The opening post was just full of awful ideas...

I'm not sure, but you sound as if you actually want this to be picked up or at least recognized by official people. Word of advice if you do. FIX your grammar and spelling mistakes. They're rampant in that script. How do you expect to be taken seriously as a writer/producer/representative when you don't even have polished grammar and writing skills? Hey if you're just doing this for fun though, then that's great and I wish you luck. *shrug* :)

No.

Just no.

You are not going to get Toriyama to care. At all. You are not going to get Toei to care. At all. You are not going to get anyone to care. Ever. Do you think you're the first person to consider this? You're not. It's been done. Often.

You can write or e-mail or call Toei and/or Toriyama until you've got a billion dollar phonebill, have used a trillion stamps, and sent more e-mails than the most prolific spammers and they wont care. There are hundreds of much better DB fan stories out there than AF. None of them have gotten the time of day from anyone 'in power'.

Sure, it's a neat little fan idea. But animating it in any traditional fashion? Not going to happen. A flash series hosted on-line for fun? Sure, you might find some people somewhere willing to do that. Will it ever be anything? No. Will more than a few people ever see it? No. Will more than a few people give a crap?

Nope.

Sorry, but this has zero chance of being anything but just another drop in the bucket. There's nothing wrong with being another drop in the bucket, it's the status quo after all. All of my fanfictions are just drops in the bucket. All the stories on FFnet are just other drops in the bucket. That's just the way it is.

People do this every day. They write up "incredible stories" or "amazing ideas" or do "awesome comics" or myabe even go so far as to storyboard a "fantastic anime" and send it off sure that it'll become the Next Big Thing™ out there. It never does. You don't just circumvent an industry like that. Doesn't work that way.

And selling DVDs? That's an even bigger no. Why? Copyright. You can't sell what's not yours without permission and no matter how much work you could possible put into this, it's not your material. Sure, some of it is. Just like some of my fanfics are mine. But the basis is clearly not. Thus you can not sell it. You can not make money on it. You do, and you get sued.

Simple as that.

What would be more managable (and cooler in my opinion), would be just to animate fights (especially ones we never got to see) such as Tenshinhan v Yamcha (Saiyan saga)(I'm a Tenshinhan fanboy lol) or SSJ2 Teen Gohan v Broly (I know people would like something like that). It would take a lot less time and be a really cool project. I would be willing to help with that but I'm not too skilled with any animating programs (may help organize a fight sequence? idk).
