Adding an India data point: Daima's Hindi dub aired on Cartoon Network India earlier this year, and the reception was quite positive — the Hindi voice cast carried over a lot of the energy from the older Z dub that many of us grew up with. It's interesting to see Toei pushing more regional dubs across South Asia lately. Has anyone compared the Hindi script with the English dub? I'm curious whether some of the jokes landed differently across versions.

I don't know Hindi, so I can't comment on that, but what I do know is historically the Indian Dragon Ball dubs have been based on the American dubs.
