Saiyan love for fighting was introduced in DBZ, however its turns even hybrid has that instinct in DBS. Gohan said it himself in DBS that his saiyan blood was getting him excited to fight, which doesn't make sense since Gohan said it himself in the Cell Games that he doesn't enjoy to fight like his father.
In Dragon Ball I don't think anyone has a appetite as big as the Saiyan and Saiyan hybrid. I am thinking of the tournaments that the Saiyans ate, in the 21st Martial Art Tournament Goku ate so much that Master Roshi had to use his prize money to pay for the food. In the 25th Martial Art Tournament Kuririn moments how Saiyans has a big appetite.
Marrying a strong wife was introduced in DBS (anime version), that was never mentioned in Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z.
Saiyans doesn't need to have hair cut, due to their genetics. If a human or saiyan hybrid doesn't have hair cut, then their hair gets really long. Their hair are always the same. Transformation is due to their genetics.
There's one (1) scene of Kuririn pigging out with Goku during their training with Roshi, but it never comes up again, and it's nowhere near as comedically extreme as Goku eating a restaurant's entire stock at the end of the arc.
The "Saiyans are attracted to strong women" is in the manga version too.

I kind of hope the "Beerus as a virus infecting the Saiyans" idea gets revived. I'm not a fan of a race of people just being naturally violent or evil, but as a form of manipulation from a powerful person, there's at least some commentary to be had there. Perhaps reveal that Beerus propagandized the Saiyans in a way to make them do his job for him? It'd have to be handled delicately, of course, but it would also make Beerus a greater target for Goku and Vegeta.

Ehh between Gine and Table and even Burdock “Oh Gine you made me a softie” I don’t think the Saiyans are all naturally evil and violent even applies anymore.
I think King Cold or Freeza works better than Beerus for your idea. Offering a destitute warrior race food and money for carrying out his work. “We did our jobs so we wouldn’t starve”

Goku and Vegeta train to be the best, while the humans trains as a hobby. Even when their life and universe is in danger, they will reject to train with the best and the best possible places, even if they are given the opportunity. Master Roshi and Kuririn are the humans that officially quit training and fighting.
If Saiyans like Gine and Tarble exist that doesn't enjoy to be evil, train and fighting, maybe there are more than just them. I don't believe good or evil can be linked to genetic, that is something taught.

I wonder why Kuririn pigging out was never brought up again after that one scene.
So Saiyans being attracted to strong women was mentioned in DBS manga, thanks for letting me know.

I don't disagree. I'm more so thinking in terms of, like, generational trauma repeating, reaching back millenia. Then again, we don't know how long Cold has been alive, so it's still possible for him to have whipped up the conditions to get the Saiyans to change into a aociety that he could use for his own benefit, even if we were only talking a decades or centuries.

The question is when did Freeza and his family take control of the Saiyans. Did King Cold control the saiyans the entire time until he retired or did King Cold father, grandfather, great grandfather, etc, control the saiyans.
Goku isn't the first SSG, so we know there was more than 1 good saiyan in that generation.

Eh, I really liked Beerus's characterization in the Battle of Gods movie (as opposed to Super which made him more openly villainous), so I'm not crazy about the idea of throwing him under the bus for it. I think it's plausible that they could've developed a culture that awards power and savagery and punishes kindness (without them literally being genetically predisposed for it) on their own without the intervention of one really powerful person, and if you really want there to be a single corrupting influence on the Saiyans, I agree with
MasenkoHA that Freeza and King Cold are a better fit.

I'm pretty sure Dragon Ball Super changed the lore from the movie so that Goku WAS the first Super Saiyan God. Toriyama recycled the movie's lore for his explanation of the original Super Saiyan Yamoshi, but he was still a righteous hero type, apparently.

As a stand alone movie with no connection to a franchise it would have been not great but watchable but when you change the story, forget characters and change major plot points and change how characters would be, it's a terrible design.
No yamcha or krillin
Bulma and Roshi poorly done
Mai is serving Piccolo when she serves emperor pilaf
Goku is a teenager and going to highschool and fights bullies
Dragon Ball evolution sucked on the basis that it was supposed to be an adaption of Dragon Ball, all they had to do was somewhat stick to the characters and script but they went rogue
Being an inaccurate adaption does not inherently make a film bad. Dragon Ball Evolution is bad on the basis of all the core tenants of filmmaking. Those could have all been far, far better than they were and the lack of accuracy to prior official Dragon Ball projects would not have been an issue.
Also: Yamcha (Joon Park) was in Dragon Ball Evolution.
Right, I remember now. Jacket and red shirt with blonde highlights in his hair

No wonder it was expelled from memory

Not sure if it’s an unpopular opinion or not but to me almost NONE of the new Dragon Ball main theme songs seem to have any staying power what so ever. To this day when I see different reels on social media of people doing art, working out or promoting some unique DB related item or even giving a stupid take on something, it’s still the main four theme songs playing in the background, Mystical Adventure, Head Chala, We Gotta Power or Dan Dan, hell even the Budokai 3 song is still in mix as well.
The Ultra Instinct theme has seemed to stick around the most and even then it’s almost become a meme at this point with how it’s used in SO MANY joke videos, a lot of which aren’t even DB related and for as much as “Blizzard” is a pretty catchy tune in its own right, along with the dozen ending themes Super has had (some of which were also pretty catchy) it seems like no one brings them up AT ALL.
I even just watched a leaked video of the Super: Beerus intro and while the visuals were nice and you can tell they went for a more exciting fighting vibe for the song as opposed to the Slice of Life vibe of the first Super intro, I still don’t see that song standing the test of time.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Super is only 11 years old, "Chouzetsu Dynamic" might have been neglected by the community, but I'd say "Genkai Toppa x Survivor" had some staying power, while "Jaka Jaan" is too recent. I think it isn't as "iconic" because people have been conditioned to skip the intro to get straight to the content as well; back then I remember watching Sparking! Meteor's opening every single time the game booted up, now I skip to the main menu every chance I get.
The old themes had decades to solidify themselves as bangers, playing over and over again in reruns, at the start of movies, at anime conventions, Super simply didn't have the same treatment.

It's also worth noting that despite being a big singer in Japan, Hikawa Kiyoshi remains very fond of performing Genkai Toppa × Survivor live. With the way the long has even had a little bit of more life in Sparking! Zero, I'd say that it's definitely the song that is more identified with Dragon Ball Super.

Mmm idk, ten years is a long enough time to set a new standard and in a way it has, at least when it comes to characters and forms. A lot of newer/younger fans think of SSBlue, Ultra Instinct, Zamasu, Kefla, Jiren, New Broly and Beast whenever Dragon Ball comes to their minds.
Granted Limit Break x Survivor is the more standout of the two super intros and it actually may have had a stronger standing in the zeitgeist of the fandom had it been the only intro the entire time but from what I see it’s not held in the same regard as the older opening themes even though there’re plenty of people who revere Ultra Instinct the same way they do SS1.
I think the Daima intro is almost too closely affiliated with Toriyama’s passing which I think was done on purpose given it’s more somber tone and because that story is (as of now) treated like a separate thing from Super, I think it’s gonna make it even harder to stand the test of time but we’ll see.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

I haven't seen Super:Beerus so I can't say anything about it but so many are calling for the DB to be high quality animation. Unpopular opinion, I want the opposite. I want it to be TV. Animation for TV is not premium. I don't like the idea of shorter episode orders all for the sake of "higher quality animation". I don't want to watch a film cut up into episodes.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

The Japanese animation industry doesn't do the poorly structured "film cut up into episodes" nonsense that Hollywood—particularly Marvel—does. Episodes are properly structured for television, even when the animation is high-quality.
Animation can be good, the production staff can be creatively fulfilled and episodes can be properly written. Dragon Ball just so happens to suffer from bad producers fucking over the creative staff.

It's 6 or 7 episodes per arc. That's movie length.

That doesn't make it a film cut into episodes, though. A six or seven episode story arc is still a story arc comprised of multiple episodes of a series.

They're serialized and don't have a beginning, middle, and end all their own. That's a movie cut up. It's not episodic.

This is no different than any arc of Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z, though? The only difference is those series spent a billion episodes just to do a single story arc. Like, series can be serialized and episodic or just one of the two.

Yeah I don't get the issue. So far it's the exact same process as Dragon Ball Kai, except there's a bit more effort into freshening up the animation.

Length is the fundamental difference. TV is inherently longer. That's my point. Spending a billion episodes is the point . That's what makes it TV.
