New DBZ Game? [PS2]

I don't think I'm going to believe this just yet, since there hasn't been any confirmation, but if its true, I hope its just Burst Limit with more characters and toned down graphics.

I don't think it's going to be like Burst Limit. This so call new game has Budokai in it's name, so it could just be like the Card-Ass games over in Japan. The ones that have the Budokai 3 engine. Only you fight like in the regular Budokai games.

Well, Shin Budokai is an enhanced Budokai 3 engine, and Burst Limit is an enhanced Shin Budokai engine, so I'm pretty sure that if any new Budokai type game is made, it would play very similarly to Burst Limit, and hopefully incorporate any new features introduced in similar DBZ games.

What's this "fan project" about? What are these "fans" trying to accomplish by doing this? Are they developping an own game for themselves?

I'm thinking that its something similar to Mugen-type stuff.

I think that they are just going to add the characters from the carddass arcade game. I think Pikuhan was one of them. So it would be an upgraded budokai 3.

An upgraded Budokai 3 already exists. It's called Shin Budokai.

Sony doesn't desert it's consoles the second something new is released. The PSone had new games released on it in 2003, the Playstation 2 will continue to get releases into 2009 and possibly beyond. And they're expecting to be still supporing the PS3 into it's tenth and eleventh years. It's Microsoft and Nintendo who who move on after two months into their new gens.
