New dbz videogame

Well,i had to point this out, when i read that release of VegettoEX i went finding those portuguese sites that stated that they were releasing a new dbz videogame when i came across this:

It stated that there will be a videogame based on the upcoming dbz movie with one screenshot in it :

i dont know but i think its a fake

While there almost certainly will be a game released to accompany the movie, I don't think anything's been confirmed yet, and I believe that picture was proved a fake.

I saw that picture like in March. It hasn't been proved to be fake, though. Neither has the script.

I'm sorry but I believe that the creation of a movie-based game is totally unneeded. We already have a tons of games that will come out in the following years (mind you it's speculation but, it's a pretty set trend). I hate the fact that this is just a stupid cash in, seeing something like this makes me think that the people at 20th Century don't acknowledge that Dragonball existed beforehand.

Yeah it is. But I think they'll do it anyway. Anything to make a quick, it's America

The advantage to a movie-based new DragonBall game would be that it'd probably be something other than a fighter. There's not enough characters to put a roster together. I'd anticipate an action/adventure title, playing somewhat like Sagas but better, with boss battles and a Tournament portion and the like.

As for quality, movie-based games are kind of hit-and-miss. For every Spider-Man 2 or Incredible Hulk, there's a Superman Returns. Hopefully any DragonBall game that gets made will be good.

And of course if there is a game for the movie, it'll be a fucking RPG. I've been waiting forever for an RPG for Dragonball, and this damn movie is probably just going to walk right in out of nowhere and take top spot.

Dragonball DS is coming out, sure. But thats only the DS. I really hope theres no game to go with the movie.

Dragonball DS really sounded like more of an action-adventure game to me. RPGs are something different entirely and don't make a whole lot of sense for DBZ.
