My post on Funi's Forum wrote:The set will be 16 episodes so they can drag out the releases...to make more cash. Think about it: 2 sets with 32 episodes would only be 100 dollars. But by cutting up the sets in half from there, you would get 4 sets with 16 episodes in them. 4 sets at 50 dollars would be double profits for Funi. Overlord Gen-sama gets even more of my money cause if the sets are 4:3 i'm buying them.
Only 16 episodes? I thought the trailer said 32. Anyway this can be good in some ways.
Pros:
- FUNi is given more time to work on a smaller number of eps, which could give us better quality.
- No overlapping discs in the packaging.
- More effort in the booklet?
- Larger Spine Image.
Cons:
- More $.
- FUNi could still do something stupid and mess up the quality (such as terrible opening audio (DBZ s5)).
- Longer to release.
- Possibility FUNi will cancel after poor sales.
- Maybe a possible last minute change to widescreen (less episodes, less work).
Either or:
- More shelf space.
- Minor re-dubbing?

I don't know if there are going to be 4 sets then I'd probably buy the original release. I don't care for the dub and I thought that release was pretty much perfect so at least I know what I'd be getting. Hopefully these will be good releases though.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

Besides, they can't go back on their word. They're already advertising the sets as 32 episodes on the Trunks/Bardock Blu-rays, this is just nonsense.

Why'd they bother re-dubbing DBGT...?

Haha who said they can't go back on their word. They'll just release a new trailer or whatever and come up with a genius excuse. But what makes you guys say that it's coming 11 Nov and 16 epis, except Amazon and Bestbuy.

Amazon and Best Buy have had misprinting regarding the season sets before... Nothing new.

That's what people thought about the Ultimate Uncuts too.

What? That they would have 32 episodes in? Or did they go back on their word on something?

Stopping releases midway? Sorry, I haven't had much sleep, kinda sloppy. I guess it counts as going back on their word, I recall them promising A full re-dub in their UUE releases. Am I wrong?.
Edit: I meant full re-dubs from the start of the series to the end. Need. Sleep.

Funi is in the position right now to do anything. The only thing I trust from them is the product on store shelves.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

If Funi was to use the same remastering process (minus the cropping) that they used on the remastered movies on the GT season sets than I would consider buying them...but only then.
And even though I do believe that the GT sets will each have six discs, if they were for some odd reason limited to three discs than that would support the theory that they will be in 4:3, since videos in 4:3 format require less disc space than videos in 16:9; but not half as much, as would be needed to retain full quality with 32 episodes and just three discs.

How can they put 36 epis on 5 disc. Makes 7 epis on every disc and one with 8. Also what is 'the complete saga and baby sagas'.

All the Remastered discs have been dual layered, minus the 3-4 episode discs. So, I am sure there is no problem with that.

Even on their dual layered discs they cannot fit any more than 7 widescreen episodes on a disc without quality loss. But if the episodes are in full-screen than they could probably fit 8 episodes on a dual layered disc without any quality loss.
They probably meant "the complete Black Star Dragonballs Saga", so as to emphasis that they are at least getting one complete saga in this set.
