Rocketman, that's a great idea. That shall be the new requirement for a "job" on this project, so I hereby decree.

Tzigi, your artwork's coming along wonderfully. And yes, what you said is more or less what you're supposed to do. Like I said to you over PM, look at the differences and similarities between the DB/DBZ manga and anime and do the same thing here, except in reverse (turn an anime into a manga). Just remember, and this goes for all my artists, that you have to leave room for dialogue bubbles, narration text boxes, sound effects, etc. Otherwise, all we have is a bunch of pictures. And I have a lot of dialogue. It all needs to be able to fit.

Here's a little something I drew in Paint. It's not my best, obviously because a Laptop touchpad is nothing like a pencil.

Cartman, send me a few panels of Gogeta (or any DB character) in different poses and from different angles and we'll see. It's definitely good, though I need it to be done in pencil like an actual manga.

Sun Wukong, sorry but I need Toriyama-style or at least an anime style that's very close to it. American/Western cartoon-style isn't what I looking for. Sorry.

Its cool, i can emulate it, but I havent drawn that way in years. I could try if you want.

I'm sorry, Pain, but if some criticism like that hurts you so much, you probably shouldn't go into the art field.

I'll try to get some manga pages up, I start school this week, so getting to a scanner will be much easier.

I was being sarcastic. I know that part of being an artist means getting criticized. I start school next week, as well. So that may put a few delays in my drawing time.

Just to keep everyone up to date on the script's progress, I just finished Chapter 8. It was another original adventure and I must say, writing these original stories really is MUCH harder than adapting the preexisting ones. Hopefully, things will pick up for awhile since my next couple of chapters will be adaptations of preexisting GT episodes.

By the way, and this is such a tease because this scene is a good ways away, but I was watching Movie 12 the other day. So when the time comes, be prepared for the greatest Gogeta appearance of all time, blending together his best Movie 12 moments and his best GT moments.

I'm glad that you're bad. I need to get back to work. I've recently been doing some sketches for some new characters that you might like.

Joey, I haven't really gotten around to drawing test pages for this, but I can post up some panels from some other comics I've drawn.

The artwork may be a bit choppy, and they aren't inked, but thats because I drew these pages a pretty long time ago. (Also, I need to get a new pen/marker)

They aren't in any particular order, because they're from different comics.

They aren't all action shots either, and some are just plain ol' scanned images.

I'll get more up later when I can! ;)

It reminds me a lot of the Piccolo saving Gohan from Nappa scene in episode 27. Great job.

Big Momma, after those panels, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your test pages. Your comic looks really good.

YAY! I used to always draw Gogeta, and he used to be my favorite character! (I'll send you some drawings soon possibly over Labor Day weekend. Damn school with it's 3 honors classes keep me busy)

I agree, that is pretty good. But like I already stated, I need to see that you can draw a comic, not a portrait (one in digital paint that looks like the game Out of this World). If you can send me 4-5 panels of Gogeta (or any other character(s)) in different positions and from different angles, then that is what I need. I can't have a manga in digital paint. Pencil and ink is what I need.

So anyhoo, yeah, Chapter 8 is done. I already said that. I had to give Pan and Goku a character moment. I decided to play up Pan's general bitchiness in the anime and give her a reason she's such a bitch (other than actually being one), so I made her be resentful of Goku for leaving at the end of DBZ. But of course, that left the problem of actually resolving their conflict (lest we decide to leave Pan to become emo, like most anime youths) without being too dramatic (this is Dragon Ball after all, not Evangelion) but without seeming the whole thing is there for the sake of being there.

The extra adventures are coming off more filler-esque than I originally intended (then again, they are filler chapters after all), but I still think they are necessary, since as I mentioned before, the infamous Lost Episodes are the ENTIRE PREMISE of Dragon Ball GT. It does allow me to more appreciate Toei's efforts in creating the GT storyline though; this isn't as easy as we all think it is. Just creating a premise requires a lot of thought and consideration. Still, I like to think they're pretty good, for what they are at least. I can't wait to be able to show it to a wider audience (wider than the 3 people I've shown my script to).

I understand. It just might not be til this weekend. Is that okay? ("As a matter of fact, it isn't." :P ) Oh and thanks for the compliment, SaiyaMel. :D
