DragonBall Z Movie 8 "Engrish" dub?
DragonBall Z Movie 8 "Engrish" dub?
I've had this for a long time which I just re-discovered, but there is this version of Movie 8 that was dubbed into english (or rather engrish!) and it just sounds so heavily accented, and its quite funny! Only thing is, there is no credits at the end of the movie listing who produced this dub, I was curious if anyone here knew anything about it.

Dunno, could be the same as the DVD/VHS that are sold published here in the Netherlands by Bridge Entertainment, with another English dub? I heard that dub was pretty awful....

I didn't know Arnold Schwarzennegger was one of Funi's VAs...

Nope. Bridge's dubbing is quite professionally done, with quite a bit of accuracy. The only problem is, their voices suck. This doesn't sound anything like their dubbing, though, and besides, Bridge doesn't do VCD. And, if it's just a company similar to Bridge.... I doubt that. It would at least contain some credits, if it were a bit of a legitimate company.Ash wrote:Dunno, could be the same as the DVD/VHS that are sold published here in the Netherlands by Bridge Entertainment, with another English dub? Heh! Josh's comment just now has made me think of a new version to that old saying by parents to their kids about starving kids in China. "Now Timmy, stop complaining about your DBZ dub! Kids in China can only get the badly dubbed 'Engrish' DBZ you know!"
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

That was fun! I wish I could see the entire thing, but oh well.

If you see a thread has been inactive for a while (weeks, even months)... do not reply to it without extremely good cause. What that does is knock it all the way back up to the top of the forum. This confuses us and other visitors because we have forgotten about the thread by now, and so it seems like there is this new thread with TONS of posts we need to go through! This is especially hard on moderators because we end up re-reading threads that we have already gone through! If you feel it is really important, do not be afraid to just start a new thread (with its own new discussion). Chances are, if you respond to an old one, we will not know what the heck you are talking about!
