Dragonball: The way YOU like it

Okay guys, what is your absolute favourite way to experiance Dragonball?
I personally love the Ocean dub of Dragonball, beyond the Freeza saga, for nostalgic purposes (we got Ocean here, and it isn't aired anymore), though I do tend to watch the original Japanese most, I'll take any chance I get to watch 'my' original dub.
So be it the manga, the anime... the animanga?

The original Japanese manga for me. Followed by the raw anime. I do get pretty upset with the anime much of the time with all the inconsistencies in animation quality and filler. I tend not to watch it.

I do have nostalgic memories of the original Ocean dub.

The way I like to watch the series is with the Japanese audio and the good ol' Steve Simmons subtitles. I also enjoy occasionally watching the Funi dub of DBZ season 4. I like the music Funi used for that season and I like 19's voice as well; I like these episodes mostly becuase they contain the first scenes I ever saw of the show, the scene where 19 kills Yamcha to be exact.

I don't give a damn whether it's full screen or wide screen, any screen is fine, but not in English or any other language other than Japanese, that ruins it for me.

The way I most often enjoy Dragonball is by visiting sites like Daizenshuu EX and Kanzentai and...and that's about it. Kanzentai's frequent updates makes it a great place to visit often, and the beautiful layout of the site and it's amazing content makes re-reading it's pages never get old. The extremely large amount of information on Daizenshuu EX never gets old...never, and it's bi-daily posts of "news and updates" on the homepage makes not visiting the site each day nearly impossible. And how could I forget the fact that Daizenshuu EX has the greatest forum on the web!?

Of course I do occasionally visit other Dragonball sites becuase it's so fun to see what other fans have created, but Daizenshuu EX, it's forum and Kanzentai are the places where I spend most of my free time and 99% of my Dragonball related time and where I (by far) most enjoy the series...since I own like no episodes and no movies and only a few tankoubon; but even if I did have eberything out there, these three sites would still be where I find the most love for the show both inside of myself and from others!

Well, since I've seen FUNimation's subtitled Japanese dub so many times, I pretty much know everything that's being said. So I prefer to watch the Dragonboxes. But still, there are a few FUNimation English episodes that still watch because I like them a little better than the Japanese versions. And for the Dragonboxes I don't have (yet), I watch FUNimation's Japanese dubb.

Japanese RAW so far has been the best for me. Simmons subtitles are great too but I don't use them anymore unless I need them.

Raw in Japanese off of the I-channel. I liked the I-channel bumpers around it and the I-channel logo as well. It was when I really got into Dragon Ball.

Honest to god? The one thing that I go to the most consistently and have spent the most time with over the years is fanfiction. Don't get me wrong- I love the cannon, but there just feels like there's so much information that's missing on the non-sayiajin.... good fanfiction gives me that. And over the years I've grown very much attached to a number of original characters, so it just grows more and more on me. The bad stuff I simply ignore.

More on target with actual stuff, I always go back to the subbed anime. I love animation, and I love the original version- the anime was my first exposure to fandom and it always pulls me back like nothing else cannon-wise.

Any format, manga, anime, etc. as long as it's DB/Z/GT. In any language other than Portuguese, the voices suck in that, plus there are too many jokes, it's official dub is pretty much a 22.5 minute Abridged Series.
