Even though it seems that we're all at war with quote towers and goodguy's seriousness, don't you think you're being a little more harsh than the rest of us? Just wondering. Since you do have the highest post count on the forum, I thought you'd be a little more...civilly nice.

This "goodguy777" doesn't get Toriyama did care or even remember to calculate all the properties of reality. Jesus, this is the guy forgot poor old Ranchi and Boss Rabbit.
This is just funny dude.

Learn to read...heh, everyone was write in a nice a kind tone...WTF?
Learn to have actual facts and merit.

Dragonball is not even 80% SCIENCE-fiction, there are tons of MAGICAL elements in Dragonball as well.

At least he showed up in filler years later. Ranchi wasn't even at that party at Capsule Corp at the end of the series.

No I mean he literally forgot who Tao was, when asked in an interview about the character he pondered "who was that again?"
(It took me this long to figure out you were talking about Lunch...may I ask where you get the spelling Ranchi out of Lunch?)

I believe the saiyans and all the fighters can survive for a limited time in space. They just could not last indefinately which Frieza and his family could.

Not really, just a combo of the Bardock special and seeing how powerful the characters are.

What? Because I have the guts to call goodguy out on how ridiculously obtuse, arrogant and rude he is? Trust me, they're are dozens of people mumbling the exact same things about him at the moment in chatrooms and such. I just actually say them. My posts are to illustrate how because of his conduct and lack of humility, the best way to deal with him is to disregard him. Since he won't give anyone else's opinions a chance, why should the rest of you? You get respect by giving respect. So if you don't mind, you can take back your lecture since all really consists of is "shooting the messenger" so to speak.

How about I do it like this then?
So, pancakes.....who here likes them? Personally as breakfast foods go, I prefer PopTarts myself, especially S'mores flavour.

Ok? Pancakes and poptarts?

I think Pain just meant that if we're trying to prove him wrong it's not gonna make us look any better by getting all huffy over it.

I completely agree with Jerseymilk- in any thread in which I've reluctantly interacted with this guy, he has been condescending (amusingly, since he has nothing to be condescending about whatsoever), surreptitiously offensive to others ('learn to read' etc) and just, frankly, irritating. I didn't realise he had so many fans on this board. Nor can I see why noone else has a problem with him. And as for 'proving him wrong'- Xyex wasted about 100 posts on this guy and got nowhere, there should be no more effort required than that. I guess maybe people's limits for being jerked around by this guy, having their opinions casually disregarded and bulldozed over by pseudo-scientific babble differ?

By the way, to those who keep appealing for civility- read over all Goodguy's threads again; you'll understand why some people have had just about enough. It's a nice thought, but where has it got us so far?

Well if your implying that I'm a "fan" of his, then your way off point  Also, I've had my fair share of "pointlessly proving him wrong to only have him retort back with something new and completely redundent" post towers and yes I do have a bit of a problem with him. What I simply meant was if your trying to prove someone wrong it's better to stay level headed and let the other person make themselves out to be a fool, kinda like how swearing makes people take you a lot less seriously.

Anyways, I agree that it's gotten way past the point of arguing with this guy and we should probably all just let him be and believe his own theories because nothing we say is going to make him think otherwise.

I take back the 'fan' part; that's too harsh a thing to say in relation to Goodguy  I'm just amazed that so many people can be level-headed; I've been cursing him from behind the screen ever since watching his bewilderingly illogical exchanges with Xyex. I do see your point about being calm, it's just that he seems to be getting away with murder and I can't help but wonder if Jerseymilk's alternative might actually work; if not it's just amusing to me to watch the guy being treated harshly.

Well, nonetheless I'm going to leave him to it, and I suppose eventually everyone will have had enough and not bother replying to him.

I actually am remaining levelheaded, just that I'm simultaneously being as blunt as I can be with him. Like I said, my posts are partially to illustrate the ludicriousness of his behaviour and treatment of other members along with narrow-mindedness and lack of lucidity in his thinking. You don't come on a forum and start discussion threads is all you're going to do is belittle other's opinions and not at least try and genuinely be open to listening to other ideas. By mocking him and the thread I'm simply trying to get others to do the same as he is. That being disregarding all he has to say. Just like you would do with a toddler that's not being reasonable, they get sent to a corner and ignored and when they're ready to be nice and cooperate, then they can come back and play with the other kids again.

I've had my fair share of "WTF!?" moments with this guy, but I think at this point it'll be best just to ignore the redundancy that seems to be spewing uncontrollably from his keyboard, sort of like how most of the senior members here tend to avoid "Kid Buu vs Super Buu" threads.

Heck, I shouldn't... but I guess I have an opinion now. T_T.
Goodguy777 has a tendency to start threads with questions that I find either interesting, entertaining, or both. It's when debates get going that things fall apart...
What I'm seeing suggests (And I could be way off base here) that English isn't Goodguy's first language, and what english he (?) is best at is geared toward his preferred subject rather than... ur... whatever we call the dominant conversation style around here. :?. (Yeah, sorry if I'm way wrong; though, some instances where a certain statement has been the source of a quote war have led me to believe that precise meaning is being lost going both ways...).
That said... Something still be amiss with this guy. :(.

I think I'll close with a minor unnecessary argument concerning something vaguely on topic...
One might argue that there was a bit of a sciFi sollution to the Cell saga, and various SciFi attempts before the final battle (despite their failures...). TimeTravel, medication, remote controls to disable the 'androids', disabling and confounding Gero and 19's energy-draining stuff... and even in the brawl with Cell, we see Cell getting reverted to his semiperfect form by getting #18 knocked out of him, try to self destruct, get teleported to another planet (granted, said planet is in the afterlife...), and then regenerate and supposedly use 'zenkai' and some (annoyingly convenient, in the dub at least?) property of his cells to come back in superperfect form....
... And then get obliterated in a battle of will and trust and compassion and all the stuff the series upplays... ur... and brute force.
Just sayin'....

[edit] Concerning the latest discussion... I don't care if it's woffles or pancakes, but I prefer either one with no syrrup, butter, or any sticky "prevent me from using my hands to eat" addatives of any kind... XD [/edit]
[edit2] ... -_- typoes. ... And I think I left a parenthesis open. ). [/edit]
