The most interesting saga
The most interesting saga
Which was the most interesting saga of DBZ to you guys. I'm talking about the 3 main ones. Whole Freeza, Anroids and Cell, and all Majin buu saga.
To me it has to be the Freeza saga because it has so many good fights and it's long and Toriyama made it so good. We see Freeza plus his gang, Vegeta, and Kuririn with Gohan all going after the dragonballs. We see a lot of fights such as Vegeta battling Cui, Dodoria, who everyone at that time wanted to know how strong he was and along with Zarbon. I love when Vegeta fights Zarbon and gets beaten and gets revenge. Then we have Kuririn and Gohan doing there thing. We all wanted Goku to show up and fights these new villains. Then the Ginyu Force comes and it gets better. Then Goku shows up and it gets even better. I especielly like the way planet Namek looks like, it's interesting to fight there for me.
So we get a lot of action in this saga. I couldn't believe Freeza said the planet was going to explode in 5 minutes and it takes like 2 weeks before it explodes. So what's the most interesting saga to you and why?

The 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai.
You see a load of Piccolo's powers that you never see again after it, Goku decides even as everything's crumbling around him that he's still going to fight this as a tournament match, the general gawking at tall Goku, and Chi-Chi returning (I found their one-sided, romance-less romance hilarious).
Also Goku being offered the job of Kami-sama (and finally winning the Tenkaichi Budoukai) is pretty epic.

On hiatus.
I most enjoyed the Cell Arc. We got to see Gohan develop so much and we saw a deep and loving side to Goku and we saw Trunks be the first person to display true deep emotion and love to Vegeta, the hard emotionless character. And since the Trunks TV special is a part of that Arc you know it has to be awesome.

Wow! That is a tough question!
1.) SSJ Goku vs. 100% Freeza
Wow, what a fight! Whoda funk little hick Goku from the Yanzabit Heights beat the most powerful tyrant in the universe. The battle of Titans. Goku fights for his friends, universe, and actually for his own revenge for once! They both are pushed to the limit of their power and techniques. Just awesome fight!
We also get to see Bardock for the first and only time!
Vegeta shows he isn't fully heartless, we finally see a light.
2.) Android Saga
Just the drama makes it good for me! You think all is well with Z-fights new strength, but as soon as 16, 17, and 18 enter scene. They are just out matched! Seeing Vegeta actually just beaten down by 18...My heart beat just gets out of control! And then when 18 breaks Vegeta's arm...I feel like my heart is gonna pop! Perfect drama!
3.) The Trunks Special: Gohan's Final Fight!
"I won't be the last one to try and stop you androids! Someone else will take my place!!!!" - SSJ Future Gohan
For those who know me...What is there to say? I love Future Gohan! The most forgotten and under appreciated hero in the entire show! Who took care of weak little Trunks? Gohan!

Gohan: "You're a Buddhist." Kuririn: "A hungry Buddhist!"
The Freeza saga, for sure.
First off, it goes back a bit to the days of good ole' adventuring, starring Bulma, Kuririn, and Gohan, a fun group if you ask me. Secondly, we get to see Vegeta, on no ones side but his own, rightly pummel all of his former colleagues who treated him like dirt over the years. And lastly, it has the birth of a legend, the Super Saiyan, before everyone starts having crackling, golden hair. Watching him and the ridiculously overpowered tyrant of the universe go at it was just jaw-dropping.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

I'm gonna ignore the Z at the end and pretend the question is open to each DB series.
So I'm gonna go ahead and say that the most interesting has to be a combination of the Piccolo Daimao arc and the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai as one whole streaming storyline.
Simply because we see Goku literally start to lose everything dear to him while being completely powerless to do anything about it. Seriously, not only did we see Goku actually being repeatedly beaten, but we saw the deaths of Kuririn, Roshi, Chaozu and even Shenlong. It seemed like Piccolo was damn near impossible to beat and Goku barely made it through the fight with his own life.
Not only that, but we find out who made the Dragon Balls, what the connection between Piccolo Daimao and Kami-sama was, and that it was possible to revive everyone who died during that conflict.
Skip ahead to the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai and we get to see Goku at a level we've never seen him before. Kami actually does something we never see again. And we get probably the best fight ever in Dragon Ball with some of the most amazing techniques (FEET KAMEHAME-HA!) and some of the most graphic images at the time (Piccolo ripping his arm right off as well as the beam to Goku's shoulder).
Overall, the two arcs as a whole were really great.

Take away all the scenes that don't involve Goku and Freeza going at it, and it's frickin' brutal.mystic trunks wrote:I think the Cell/Android saga was the most engaging and interesting storywise. But the Freeza saga, particularly the Goku/Freeza fight had the best choreography.
*wonders if somebody on youtube has done that..

If I could ever figure out how to capture sound I would do this. I would also re-edit the Garlic Jr. saga into a feature movie "Garlic Jr.'s Escaped from the Dead Zone, where's Son Goku?!" roughly translated, "Dead Zone II: Garlic Jr Returns" just for shits and giggles.Snail wrote:Take away all the scenes that don't involve Goku and Freeza going at it, and it's frickin' brutal.mystic trunks wrote:I think the Cell/Android saga was the most engaging and interesting storywise.
