Goddamnit, can we stop with this kind of nonsense? Since this damn cover was first shown, EVERY time I've checked this thread foolishly thinking there's some sort of actual update, it's nothing but a half-dozen posts in a row of "hey, look what they did now, lol <insert badly-photoshopped joke image here>"

At this rate, you're all just being needlessly obnoxious, and looking for any excuse to flame FUNimation. I'll gladly admit the company has issues with our "revered" series, but lately it's just been one big, obnoxious, childish game of "blaem FUNi for everyting becuz tey sux." No, it isn't, and no they don't. FUNimation is allowed to put whatever the hell they want on their box set covers, and they don't have to ask OUR permission to do it. Likewise, we don't have to buy it if we don't like it. Either way, the sarcastic ranting of a bunch of self-important fans isn't going to change jack shit.

Hey, for the record, mine wasn't poorly done if I do say so myself. And I only did it because I thought it would be funny because Appule is the most random character.

I'll admit that I found your image funny, especially since he was one that I thought would be funny for the cover.

That being said, I agree with Kaboom's general point. Would people prefer it if 4Kids were handling the series? Things could be a lot worse. But you know.... I'm against hating on a large scale in general, such as on other message boards with George Lucas.

I don't think anybody's had a malicious intent in mind towards Funimation when they were making these. It was just a fun little running gag we had going for a minute there.

I'm not specifically referring to the joke box sets; they're pretty funny in and of themselves. But the general attitude behind it that's been so prevalent lately is what's getting me really annoyed. Everyone's been going overboard and pinning FUNimation as incompetent, money-grubbing idiots over a few details of a Season Set. They're perfectly fine, they do a great job with a lot of different properties, and they're allowed to market and release their products in whatever manner they think will be successful. Can we at least TRY not to knock on them and make them out as "the devil" just for that?

Yeah, that's pretty much my beef right there. It's unfortunate people are making the Season Six and Seven covers out to be some grand conspiaracy...
