All I'm going to say is, the links below are for anyone arguing that characters from cartoons/anime/comics etc., can't be accurately translated to live-action and would look ridiculous if they did:
http://www.bleachrevolution.net/main.ph ... usical.htm
And from what I've noticed, it's the "pro-movie people" being rude and flaming more than the people criticizing in this thread. And with that, I'm stepping out of this broiling volcano of fan passion and anger.

I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

You must be color blind, as there isn't an ounce of green shade in that pic. o__O;
Good god, it's the closer we get to the release of this movie, FOX keeps trolling us harder and harder.
Sorry, you are right, when I made that post I had only looked at the picture once. He looks more like a weird flesh tone. Also I am Green/Grey color blind so

I'd like to see you back that up with more than just a simple "smart-ass statement and eye roll".
Okay seriously, I'm out now! Have fun everyone but try not to kill each other!

So I totally agree with you. But I mean it couldn't have been that hard to make the color green.

You know, if we're that worried about it, it might be logical to ask Marsters himself why Piccolo isn't green. Doesn't he have regular online Q&A sessions, or something?

Ok. They all look ridiculous because you cannot just take a cartoon character and try and make actual humans look like that person without it looking stupid. That goes for anything. The X-men looked ridiculous and they didn't even have the "classic" costumes. The thing looked stupid in Fantastic 4. Christian Bale had on the ugliest Bat suit ever in the Dark Knight and I really couldn't take him seriously (but I still loved the movie). Sandman looked stupid in that dumbass green shirt. I mean seriously who the hell would actually wear something like that ? Yeah they might look like the CARTOONS they are trying to bring to life but that doesn't mean they don't look completely ridiculous and silly....and Bleach sucks.

Chrono Trigger wrote:The reason this thread is going to get closed is because there are too many sore winners who just like to rub shit in. Ok, Piccolo looks ridiculous and things aren't looking to good for the movie. We get it. Still that would be just to easy right ? So we gotta have page after page of the same people repeating themselves over and over again and then a pro-movie person will be like ''Alright we get it! You don't like it! Get over yourself!" then the haters will be like "Man FUCK YOU I have my own opinion and we can hate the movie if we want and if the thread gets closed it's your fault cause all we're doing is giving our opinion!" When in actuality we all know your fucking opinions already. You've made you thoughts very clear. Over and over and over again.
I think you're going overboard there, no one has said anything like that. Also, going by what you're saying, anyone who has any kind of opinion on the movie just shouldn't say anything anymore because it's all been stated before. Each piece of news is obviously going to bring more feedback, if we're not allowed to talk about it, why even have a thread? Oi.
Edit: Also Chrono (love that game by the way), the way you're insulting that bleach live action stuff and saying that looks ridiculous....how is that ANY different than people thinking DB live action stuff looks ridiculous so far?
Captain Awesome wrote:SonEric84 wrote:You know, the best part is the pro-movie fanatics are going to be the people who get this thread closed down. People are allowed to dislike it, no one's telling you how to feel about it, so just deal with it.
You just won this, and all past and future movie threads.
Every time one of these threads spirals out of control, it's because the "positive" crowd, wont let people state their legitimate criticisms and opinions, without taking it as a personal affront.
That's because apparently any criticism is illegitimate and "stupid whining." (Even though people have given explanations as to why they don't like it, etc.)

Take Daburcor for example. He hates the idea of this movie and every single thing that has been done with it so far. He thinks it's trash and it's going to be worse than Street Fighter. So if that's how he feels then why is he still following the movie and letting reminding everyone that he hates it ? We already know! That's like me saying "You know what FUCK this movie. I ain't going to see it and Fox and everyone involved with it can go fuck themselves with an aids dick." Then I come to this same topic everyday and keep saying things like that. There's having an opinion and then there's stuffing it down peoples throat and being just plain monotonous. Also the people that aren't for this movie can't talk about the pro people because they are just as quick to jump on pro people.
"Edit: Also Chrono (love that game by the way), the way you're insulting that bleach live action stuff and saying that looks ridiculous....how is that ANY different than people thinking DB live action stuff looks ridiculous so far? "
It's not any different. I actually think that Bleach stuff looks pretty hot. I was just being a jerk.
(And Chrono Trigger is a great game isn't it ?)

Well, that's a convenient answer.
The way I see it, why don't we just change this thread to "Dragon Ball Live Action Movie Praise!!" That way no one with a negative opinion will post. Then, they can go off and create a separate thread "Dragon Ball Live Action Movie Hatred!!" And instead of being a mature, intelligent community, we can divide ourselves over a stupid movie...

Or, now that we're all over the initial shock of
Lord Piccolo being revealed, we can drop the animosity and try to keep it civil again.
Also, like I said, if we're so concerned about it, we could e-mail Mr. Marsters himself via his website and ask him what's up with Piccolo ourselves.

I didn't really care for Ironman. I think it was an overrated pile of shit. I went to some forums and gave my complaints and criticisms but I never went there EVERYDAY and made sure EVERYONE knew how much I hated that stupid ass movie. I said what I had to say and left it at that. I didn't like it so there wasn't much for me to discuss. In the end it doesn't matter to me. I'm going to see this movie regardless because well...Come on it's a live action Dragon Ball. 10 dollars isn't much to me and it'll be cool to go see it with some friends and get some laughs and hell the fighting might be good.

That's not a bad idea actually, but didn't he state in one of his interviews that he wasn't really allowed to say much about it?

Wow.....just wow.... Way to sound sound like a snot-nosed little pre-teen fanboy. I think your attitude speaks for itself. You've proven with your generalized statements that you're not worth anyone's time to have an unbiased and mature discussion. Shame.
Last little tip: Just stating a long list of characters and repeating over and over again that they look ridiculous, isn't backing up your statement.

Yeah, that's true...but if there is going to be some kind of transformation they might want to keep it secret.

If that's the case, then he might be able to at least give us some sort of "oh, you shouldn't worry about it THAT much, WINK WINK." If he realizes people are upset and want answers and/or relief, he might give it to them somehow.
