The interview with Mr. Arrieta just showed up on HoyCinema earlier today. Even just using Google translator, I was able to extract this joyful news from it.

Has it been noted here that the IMDB page for the movie has Christopher Sabat listed as the voice of Shenlong?

I could add my mom to the cast list and IMDB would approve it.

That's true; I really doubt that that is true.

But this stuff seems like weird stuff for someone to just make up.

David Baker....sword maker
Yoshio Iizuka....stunt double: Gohan
Don Tai....stunt double: Yun-Fat Chow
Louis Leung....animator

First off, why would they need a sword maker!!! Yes Trunks would be awesome in this movie but come on, they don't need to be that retarded!

Not only is the fact that Gohan is listed very strange/exciting (even though Goku being a high school father might send the wrong message) but his stunt double is an Asian actor. I have nothing against Asians and I feel that they should definitely have big roles in this film but with Chatwin and Rossum it might look a little odd.

The reason I linked to Don Tai is because he looks like he is in his 20's and he is stunt doubling for a 53 year. Yes make-up can make him look a lot older but it seems like a lot of extra work.

And I just felt like pointing out the name of the animator because I am stoked to see the animation in this film.

Have you ever been trapped in a Jar for 2000 years while alive? I don't think so. I don't think it's too much to ask that the first major villain in DB history still be intact body wise.

True enough...But it's still a crying shame. It's just like a few months back when the Get Smart Movie came out...People who are my age thought it was cool and were basically like "ZOMGz Steve Carrell"...While my mother on the other hand who was a fan of the Original Get Smart didn't like the film.

What, neither Pilaf nor any of the Red Ribbon guys tickle your fancy?

This is supposed to be Gohan's stunt double:

I really hope that all of that stuff on that page is fake.

Not really...Pilaf was just a goofball of a villain and the Red Ribbon Army are comparable to Hitler and the Nazi Army. Piccolo Daimao was the first major planet threat of a villain.

Stunt doubles are allowed to look different. They're usually the blur that slams into stuff. They only have to look similar enough to not break the suspension of disbelief from far away while moving fast.

1) We are talking about Grandpa Gohan, here, you realize. Played by Randall Duk Kim.

2) Stunt doubles' faces don't need to precisely resemble the actor's. That guy looks plenty enough like Chow Yun-Fat to do it, and being younger than him is generally a good idea, or even necessary for a stunt double..

3) Characters other than Trunks are allowed to use swords.

You can whine as much as you want, though I think you are overreacting. And to post it publicly is just asking for it. But, I respect your opinion, even though your facts aren't correct.

And no, no human has been in a jar for 2,000 years. That doesn't change the fact when someone (such as an animal, insect, etc.) is in a dark, small, cold place for a long time the skin is going to change.

I know, but the fact that a Gohan stunt double will be in this movie is ridiculous. And by posting the picture I wasn't trying to point out that he doesn't look how you'd expect him to; I was trying to point out that he is very old and that really doesn't make sense for this film.

Did Pilaf make the king surrender and take over his castle? Or did he just continually get defeated?

Thought so.

He was a serious threat, especially at first gathering of the Dragonballs. He got extremely close to ruling the world.

The Red Ribbon Army was most definitely a serious threat as well.

Look, I may be bitching and moaning about changes being made to the Movie. But saying that I don't respect the Manga simply because we have differing opinions is probably the most immature thing any fan of any fandom can say. That was just really rude.

On the subject of Piccolo's skin color...I don't care how long he was trapped...He's NOT human. He's a demon incarnate Namekian in the DragonBall world. This is a series where people shoot Ki Blasts, normal human logic doesn't always work. In addition, a Namekian's Lifespan is obviously much longer than a humans anyway.

The Red Ribbon Army was most definitely a serious threat as well.
So? What was Pilaf actually doing to do? Make people worship him? I don't think he's actually a pure evil entity. As for the RRA, they're no different from any other army out for conquest. Like my conparison to the Nazi's...An evil army and a super villain are 2 different things.

Why? It implies that the 'ol man's gonna see some combat. This is bad how? Not to go all happy sunshine cult here, but that's what some of us mean by stretching for gripes. How on earth does the notion of Gohan, a martial artist trained by Roshi and the guy who raised Goku and taught him the basics, having a stunt double = negative?
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.
