Live Action Movie Thread

Now we're just making up excuses. We're only repeating what we've said over and over again. We know that Mai doesn't shape-shift and Son isn't a high school student. It's just something that we all have to deal with. I for one will watch and most likely enjoy the movie. Complaining doesn't change anything, it only adds 30 + pages to this thread.

It really sounds bad when you say it like that but I guess that's it. This bickering is just so pointless; no one is learning anything or taking anything away from this and it will have no impact on the final product. Not to mention VegettoEX rarely stands for this type of thing on his sacred forum.

Isn't a great video but I think it has some points.

Anyway, all I can say is this is an adaptation. Goku didn't go to high school yes we know it's getting tiring saying this is not the anime.

Though I agree, it's hard not to. I've got to say though...I find it ridiculous how the DragonBall Fanbase is always split on something...

Anyway, all I can say is this is an adaptation. Goku didn't go to high school yes we know it's getting tiring saying this is not the anime.

And not everyone's going to like the way it's adapted. Simply saying it's an adaption doesn't change things.

But I think that Video was actually pretty ridiculous. It just makes silly excuses that don't change the facts.

What can I say besides if you don't like it then don't pay attention to it? It's not like this is being promoted everywhere. Quite the opposite.

Wait for the trailer with Max Payne or when it's online. Max Payne by the way is rated R and might not feature the trailer since it's rated R. We'll see.

I'm dropping out. I'm going to take Pain's advice on this one...Arguing is fruitless as we'll just begin to repeat ourselves and in the end get no where as no one's opinions will change. Frankly I'm going to just stop now rather than endure 7 more months of this crap. I'll wait until I see it before I debate this to death anymore.

Does promotion really matter(Obviously)? Once I see a full trailer, then I'll pass judgment. I saw the trailer for Transformers and Cloverfeild and I saw them both. Both of them weren't incredible movies. But Transformers made up for the bad acting with the good special effects. Cloverfeild was just throwing the cast of the Real World into Alien Vs. Predator. All of that viral marketing for nothing.

Huh. I *loved* Cloverfield.

Anyway, the point wasn't that promotion makes a movie GOOD. The POINT was that it's not being promoted everywhere, so it can be ignored. IF it was being promoted like crazy, you couldn't really avoid it. Because it'd be everywhere.

Well, I'm okay with the story and character designs so far. So I guess that leaves... horrible acting? That doesn't seem likely either, though.

I love the Story in General aswell. Aside from Goku in High School I think the story sounds pretty interesting and well written. In addition, I like the way Chatwin looks as Goku personally.
