Woohoo! More News About The New Dragonball Special!
This makes me wonder then if Tahbul will fuse with Vegeta and produce a super saiyan warrior Vejiitahbul (or Vejtahbul), to take out Aka... If the fusion is permanent - it maybe the end of Vegeta as we know him..

I don't see how a fusion of Vegeta and Tarble is made "rather predictable" by the fact that a new alien slightly resembling Dodoria has appeared...

It's impossible to have a fusion between Vegeta and Tarble, since they are too different in size and probably power as well. The big guy seems like a fusion of the little guys though. But still, none of them look like a proper villain. My guess is that there's still a fifth character we don't know about.

How do you come to that conclusion?DNA wrote:It's impossible to have a fusion between Vegeta and Tarble, since they are too different in size and probably power as well.
Since when does size in fusions matter (cough Goku fusing with Vegeta)? We don't even know yet if he's smaller or the same size as Vegeta..

Since they say so in the original series, but I'm not going to enter more fanboy discussions on this forum. The special will be released in a couple of days and we'll see about that.SaiyaMel wrote:How do you come to that conclusion?DNA wrote:It's impossible to have a fusion between Vegeta and Tarble, since they are too different in size and probably power as well.

About the little Saiyan, it is possible that more Saiyans survived in hiding, especially since Freeza's Army also survived, or so it seems. Before the "it's-not-canon" flame war starts, bear in mind that Tullece, Brolly, Paragus and Onio all survived. Also, Ledjick seems to know something about Saiyans.
Where? And who is Ledjick?DNA wrote:Since they say so in the original seriesSaiyaMel wrote:How do you come to that conclusion?DNA wrote:It's impossible to have a fusion between Vegeta and Tarble, since they are too different in size and probably power as well.

oh god, i hope not, i was really looking forward to digital animationSSj_Rambo wrote:These look like the instructions that used to be given to the companies that produced the cels for the anime. But these days cels are almost non-existent; so if Toei has decided to keep the classic look and pay a little extra money to have this special animated in the classic Dragonball cel fashion I would be very impressed.
The fact that this is made to celebrate the past 40 years of Jump (most of which was ruled by cel animated anime) also makes me think that they might be putting in the extra effort to get this animated like the rest of the series was.
It's all up to personall opinion. I would much, much rather see DBZ as it has always been seen. Yes new animation is always great (and we get bits of it here and here) but main things like this I will always like to watchin it's original form.backthen wrote:oh god, i hope not, i was really looking forward to digital animationSSj_Rambo wrote:These look like the instructions that used to be given to the companies that produced the cels for the anime. Is there anyone else that has an opinion on how the would like this special to be animated?
IMO, Animation like Budokai 2, 3, and sagas intros would be so mind blowing, I would die from fangasms .SSj_Rambo wrote:It's all up to personall opinion. Goku says so after being healed by Dende on the Lookout after Majin Vegeta self-destructs. Goku says that for two people to fuse they have to be of similar size and power, then states he could have done the fusion dance with Vegeta or Gohan.SaiyaMel wrote:Where?DNA wrote:Since they say so in the original series

I couldn't care less whether the special is done on cels or through computers. I can understand wanting to see new cel animation for nostalgic purposes, but I highly doubt we'll get that, since coloring digitally seems to be easier and quicker.SSj_Rambo wrote:Is there anyone else that has an opinion on how the would like this special to be animated?
Personally, as long as the special is animated well, that's all I care about. I'm talking on-model characters, fluid character animation, and consistancy. Whether the special is colored via computers or by hand has no serious effect on quality, but the animation itself does. There have been anime productions, both on cels and through computers, that have blown my mind with fantastic character animation. I've always loved old-fashioned hand-painted animation too, and even though I think that Japanese animators started cutting many more corners once animation went digital, there have been plenty of recent productions that I've thought were fantastic, animation-wise. (though whether or not animation quality has decreased since anime went digital is a debate for another day)
If the special is in the same ballpark as the Vegeta vs. Recoome fight animation-wise, my head will literally explode from excitement. If it's just a bunch of talking heads and characters moving around like they're pieces of lifeless cardboard, I'll be pissed.

But where is it it said about Tahbul's size, DNA?

Oh for christs sake, stop looking for a argument, seriously. Just look at him, he's obviously a kid, unless is a giant kid. Anyway, like I told you, just wait until the special comes and all our questions will be answered. If a fusion between the two is possible in your mind, so be it. I really, REALLY don't care.SaiyaMel wrote:Oh right, thanks.Rocketman wrote:Goku says so after being healed by Dende on the Lookout after Majin Vegeta self-destructs. Chillax, man.. I'm not trying to pick arguments with no one. Just thought maybe you knew something that I didn't - as the way you phrased your statement made it look like it was from an official source.
Sounds like someone's been having a bad day..
Edit: sorry about my tone of words when I was questioning yours - sounding as though I was instigating you... that wasn't my intention.
