During my days as a DBZ dubbie, I found that line to be lame and out of character for Goku.

I'm guessing we're not really going to get a straight on camera angle for the kamehameha, it's probably going to be something like they did with the hadouken in the street fighter movie.

Yeah, the Kame Hame Ha's going to be something to see. I do wonder if 'Super Kame Hame Ha' will be used in any capacity (outside of the one time in the series it's officially used). The bigger waves are always called Super Kame Hame Ha in the games...

I hope thay don't say "Turtle wave" instead of the Kamehameha wave.

Another thing, I think that the people against the movie (like me) are afraid of this scenario:

Person 1: Hi, do you watch any cartoons?
Person 2: Yeah, I watch anime. Actually, it's mostly Dragonball.
Person 1: Yeah, Dragonball. I have watched the movie.
Person 2: Cool.
Person 1: I liked the vampire, and also the hero Goku, that was really hot in his scenes with Chi Chi. Otherwise the movie sucked.
Person 2: Actually, it's not a vampire, it's the Namekian Piccolo, and in the anime he is green, and also, in Dragonball, Goku is not a sex-machine.
Person 1: Whatever, Goku is still hot and I don't care about that Piccolo guy, he is a stupid vampire, just look at him.
Person 2: Just read the manga or watch the anime, will ya!
Person 1: I won't, because Dragonball is stupid, and I won't give it a shot because of that the movie sucked.

Realistic scenario? No. Can people be such big morons as person 1? Yes.

People are different, and I don't like people disliking something because of them being pumped wrong information or media.
I like things pure, simply. Actually, that's why I only see the manga as canon to begin with.
I wouldn't be fond of someone thinking that Dragonball is stupid because of Fox wanting to make more money.
Also, if someone tells me "I watch Dragonball" and that by that they mean only two or three movies, my response is "read the manga, please. you can even borrow them from me".

It's not as simple as "waaah, that guy/girl thinks dragonball is stoopid! whaaaa, call the whaaaambulaaance!".

Maybe I'm the only one thinking this way, but still, that's how I am.

Maybe it would be more like "I refuse to be bullied. Theprincipal will know about this" in true high school fashion.

Thinking of it, it would be nice to watch a shool-yard fight with the (obviously) owerpowered Goku vs. a school punk.

When it turns into World War III, I think so. Unless EX makes a specific Live Action Movie Discussion Forum.

The idea of this forum turning into WWIII after the movie comes out terrifies me; this is one of the only two DB forums I know.

I think even though there was another situation a while ago that hit me hard for a long while, this one digs deeper because it would be all the more direct.

Uhh...this is supposed to be Dragon Ball. It wasn't until later in Z, around the time Goku uses the Kaio-Ken and Kamehame-Ha on Vegeta where it's a wide beam.

Take the Raditz fight for example. The beam wasn't exactly wide. In fact, the blast originally used to be designed with a "dumb bell shape." Orbish on the end it's coming from the hands, and on the end that's aiming for the target, while the middle portion was like a bar.

My opinion comes from every time I have seen an "Energy Wave" used in a live action medium, it's always the pencil thin beam. And in my opinion, that looks weak, and terrible. I know that in Dragonball it was mostly the "Thin Beam", which looks fine in a 2d environment, but I hope you get what I am saying.
