Note to FUNimation... please fire Vision Wise. Thanks!
Who is Vision Wise? Are they the company that did the DVD for Movie 9?
Why do you want FUNimation to fire them?

I quoted VegetoEX on the newest update on the main site.
And I'm asking anyone who knows what this 'Vision Wise' is. And why he wants them fired.

I think he means to say "I quoted VegettoEX's latest update on the site's main page. He mentioned 'Vision Wise,' who I am unfamiliar with, and was wondering if someone could fill me in on who they are and why he would want them fired."
Good grammar and spelling = the way to go around here.

To be nice and answer the question, tho, Vision Wise creates the menus, interfaces, ect. for Funimation's DVDs. Which is no big surprise, as Vision Wise is located in Dallas, TX...right near Funi's own offices in Fort Worth (The Dallas-Fort Worth area is pretty much just one giant metro area nowadays anyhow, pretty much the same). They may author the DVDs as well, but I don't remember. EX prolly wants 'em fired because they continue to make the DBZ discs look like shoddy product made by a kid with a good knowledge of photoshop and powerpoint..

Hmm... Thanks for the info!
Another question, why doesn't FUNimation put inserts in their DBZ DVDs? Or is it all their shows too. I find it really childish for them not to put inserts in their DVDs.

My guess is, if you only have 3-4 episodes on a disc, you really don't need an insert, since you can fit the episode numbers & titles on the back.

Because the DVDs sell anyway, and they don't want to pay for paper used for inserts?

I personally think inserts are a waste of paper anyway. I don't miss them not being there. A lot of the times, with my anime DVDs, the insert is just the same image as the title cover, including the same writing. Can we say "pointless"?

Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

The Yu Yu Hakusho DVDs come with inserts. The GT DVDs do also, or at least the one I have.

I love how my writing one sentence on the main page spawns an international debate.
I've still got it!

Yeah, every single GT DVD comes with a nicely done insert. It's not much, I admit, but it's nice to have, and makes the DBZ DVDs seem lesser somehow by comparisson.

The DB discs have inserts too, although you could argue that that's because they actually need them. As has been pointed out, you don't really need an insert for the DBZ discs when the episode titles and descriptions are on the back of the box. The DB discs don't have that, obviously, so all the titles and descriptions are on the inserts.

That's funny because I get where he's taking the term doubleplus ultra from.

I'm sorry Julian but that was just too forced. As a result the joke became doubleplusextra unfunny. Get it?! **Falls over laughing at his own wittiness**
