Yes. They're both quite excellent at the disciplines of turning into black lines with the odd explodey circle and cycles of the same four punches and blocks for close-range combat. And Goku is pretty good at the discipline of creating the Biggest Blast Ever So Far to defeat the next big baddie. I personally get a bit bored of this.Jerseymilk wrote: Maybe because, Goku's the star of the dang show and fights with him and Vegeta are always electrifying and interesting and they're experts at their discipline.
No, but just because you're a fan of someone doesn't mean they should completely dominate every story arc after the Saiyan arc.Maybe for you, but to me I simply get tired of them. Their antics get really old, really fast. When fighting Buu, I honestly wanted to smack them around after a while to smarten them up. I thought they acted like spoiled brats(and I don't care if they were unaware little kids who didn't seem to realize the gravity of the situation). They're one of the main reasons the Buu Saga is my least favourite of all the DBZ story arcs. Just because you're a fan of them, doesn't mean everyone is.
I found their "antics" to be extremely refreshing. I simply preferred Dragonball pre-Saiyan to the Z portion, and things like Great Saiyaman, Fat Buu, Mr. Satan, and Gotenks comprise some of my favorite parts of Z. There are a few dramatic scenes that stick with me too, like Goku's plea to Krillin to spare Vegeta and the ever-popular Gohan SSJ2 scene. But overall, I prefer Z when it's humorous.
So...you basically skipped everything from Pilaf through the start of the Piccolo arc?BrollysKin wrote:I was hoping for a darker special, kind of like movie 13 in nature. I never found Dragonball to be that humorous to be honest with you.
Suspended animation, or something to do with Wibbly Wobbly, Timey Wimey Stuff.Dayspring wrote:...there's no way to explain how Tabaru looks so much younger than Goku.
