I want to get the rest of the Daizenshuu's. But now that Viz released the first one I'm stuck. If they release the rest of em', then I don't want to waste money on the Japanese versions. But who knows when or if they'll release them at all. In which case I want to just cut the shit and buy the Jap versions now...
Edit: WOW! I didn't realise that you actually only paid 99c for the book. Why would someone sell it so cheap?? I'd just throw something out, rather than sell it on ebay for 99c.

That's so awesome. I seriously need to get my hands on at least one thing from the DragonBall-One Piece merchandise wave before the fad ends in Japan.EvilGamerX wrote:Does this count?
*Amazingly cool image of Vegeta-Chopper snipped*
Totally out-of-left-field observation: That image of Vegeta on the tag should've been the cover of FUNi's season one set. It's a hundred times better than cross-eyed Vegeta.

Yeah, I got really lucky. It's not in top notch condition, but still awesome for the price.
Trans rights, now!
I don't really collect the figures and such, but I do love the DVDs. This is my entire collection. I used to own all the singles from FUNI (DB/Z/GT), but decided last year to buy the sets. After a few months, and a rejuvenated interest, I finally decided to buy all the Boxes in August before school started. YJ was a good friend to me, I ended up buying all the boxes for a lot less than I would stateside. Sure, shipping would be astronomical by EMS to the US, but it was all worth it!

Thanks! I had to think long and hard before I took the 2 Grand hit to my wallet.Snail wrote:Those Dragonboxes.....*drools so...sexy. I could live with a dry spell of a whole year (don't judge me) if I could get my hands on those babies for a good price that wouldnt burn my wallet up into flames.
Anyways, great collection. I'm not entirely into figures as much either. I'm a DVD addict.
I had to sell a lot of collectibles to afford them. Most of my Sentai doubles were sacrificed.
Thanks, I am very impressed with others collections, too. Most of which I won't own! This made me post pics of my collection.SSj_Rambo wrote:Wow! Amazing collection Krycek7o2, pictures of Dragonboxs always make me drool.
I take it you aren't bothered too much by Funimation's remastering process?
I still am from time to time. I originally hated season 1 for it lazy attempt at remastering. After a while, and no longer watching the season sets on my main TV, I grew to like them. I now watched them on a 21' SDTV. Most of the flaws are less apparent to the eye this way. The DB footage looks much better on my main TV compared to the Season sets in 480p and when up-converted to 1080p.
Do I complain? Not anymore, I figured this will be the best we will get stateside, and I still love the English dub, with original or Faulconer music.
Did you sell your Dragonball 2 disk sets already?Krycek7o2 wrote:Thanks! I had to think long and hard before I took the 2 Grand hit to my wallet.Snail wrote:Those Dragonboxes.....*drools so...sexy. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Zephyr wrote:And that's to say nothing of how pretty much impossible it is to capture what made the original run of the series so great. I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

How many of your power morphers/dino bucklers I've seen on RB had to go for those beauties?Krycek7o2 wrote:Thanks! On a serious note, how much did these cost you all together with the roxy bidding fees and such?
