We never said that they were in the minority, although I think at the forum dub fans are the minority, we were simply saying that they have to defend themselves from the Japanese fans.

Of course this only applies here, outside-of-the-forum-dub-fans can all go and get lost somewhere for all I care.

Quite frankly, against everything I do with the site and gear towards and blah blah blah, the overwhelming audience of this website and forum are dub-only-viewers, and they are the vocal majority.

Have you ever been to the Atari forums? (Or do you mean "the forums" as in exclusively Daizex?) Hell Daizex is the only place I can still find fans of the Japanese show. Seriously every Dragonball discussion page I go to I end up seeing-

"OMG GOKU SOUNDS LYK A GRL!!11"
"JAP MUZIC SUX AZZ FALCOUNER>JAP MUSIC"

I know we shouldn't bash other forums but if you want your fill of dub praise just head on over to the Atari forums for a little while, I'm not even sure those people know there is a Japanese version. I think sub fans are in the minority overall.

It seems like that to dub fans on here because the sub-only group type arguments that are hard to combat.

I don't think anyone here wants to praise the dub but I shouldn't have to leave an intelligent forum and go a lesser one just because I can't discuss the dub, without people being all condescending towards me and my opinions.

I've found that this is the only place to talk about the original without being called something stupid by some 9 year old or random, "I can't type", idiots like NeptuneKai pointed out. Though I do find that dub fans, of any sort, are in the minority in comparison to the entire world.

But like I posted earlier. I hate those type of fans that praise the dub of Dragon Ball Z like it's God even though it's flawed as hell and yet hate on Naruto's and One Piece's (yes the Funi dub) dubs and complain about the most minor shit that should never ever be a problem. Yet they praise Luffy's and Naruto's voices then bash Goku's and also praise One Piece's and Naruto's music yet bash Dragon Ball's even though in both categories they're the exact same thing

No no no, you got me all wrong, I was talking about here exclusively at Daizex. And I'm not looking for dub praise, I'm simply asking that you guys stop doing the same thing they allegedly do at Atari forums (albeit in a much more respectable way) anytime somebody mentions that they like the dub here. I'm not saying this is a big problem or anything, but if you haven't noticed "everybody beat up on all things dub" vibe this place is giving off then you've had the wool pulled over your eyes.

I'm sorry you feel that way. But there has to be a place where people can discuss Dragonball,Z,or even GT as it was intended. No changed score, no terrible script, no acting like Dragonball doesn't even exist,no acting like Dragonball wasn't popular around the globe before the US got it. I just want to discuss the show and not the confusing clusterfuck that Funimation made this beloved Franchise into. Here and everywhere else, I respect that folks like the dub for DBZ. But I can't stand by while Dragonball fans are put down and disrespected everywhere else because of this one dub. I know you realize people think shit of us because we say we like Dragonball(Z,GT) and the first thing they think of is that fucking Ocean/Funi dub. Excuse me if I choose not be associated with that.

Exactly. I like both the dub and the sub but I choose to watch the dub most of time because I just do. I've never criticized anyone who hates the dub and I don't think they shouldn't. I really don't care. Their are intelligent dub fans that like to come here because this is the only place we can go for intelligent discussion about DRAGON BALL. The show we all love.

Y'know I totally understand this, as a fan of the Sailor Moon and Pokemon dub I hate when I go to their respective "uncensored" sites and just hear endless bashing on it. (No offense Dogasu if you are reading this I absolutely love your site all n' all ) but granted you are in a thread which rebuttals against the dub are perfectly on topic, or if not that at least understandable to bring up.

You never see the sub fans go into "The Dragonball special" thread and just rant about how the dub sucks. We mostly never bring it up unless the discussion calls for it.

Touche, I guess all we're really trying to say is that we (dub fans at daizex) aren't them (dub fans everywhere else) and we're sick of being grouped with them. Also, we would like a little respect for our preference, kind of like how we respect your preference of the Japanese.

I feel you man but I do want to say that it goes back to what I said earlier. The extremely idiotic dub fans, like from the Atari forums are the ones that make you guys look bad. If you want that to change then you'd have to deal with them rather than letting it happen. Kinda like how fans of anime try to get Dragon Ball looked at as 'real' anime but because of bullshittery, usually from Funimation, that never happens.

Mostly it's this if you let them represent you that's how you'll be represented just like how I said that everybody thinks that the Dragon Ball fan base is just a bunch of idiot nine year olds.

Also I honestly don't think people disrespect the dub, they just criticize it, and from my respective with good reason but you can respectably criticize something without talking about the fans which more often than not never happens here.

We give you respect for your opinion, I don't think anyone flat out said "boy you sure are stupid for liking the dub!" but you can't expect us not to rebuttal points of the dub that you happen to enjoy. Just like how you argue against points in the Japanese version I happen to enjoy. I don't think you're disrespecting me you're just vocalizing why you dislike a certain moment in the Japanese version. That's basically all I'm seeing here with the sub fans, we are just vocalizing why we don't like certain parts of the dub that you and others have brought up as "favorite moments". I think it seems like an attack because of the quantity of text some people here have written, combine that with the fact that we have a large number of sub fans here all typing paragraphs explaining why we dislike a certain moment in the dub that has been recently brought up and posting them at the same time I can definitely see how you can take that as us being assholes but we aren't doing this on purpose. Everyone is just trying to get their opinion out there.

I kinda have a problem with the self-invented hierarchy people have about this forum. You're not any more special or awesome just because you post here. We're all the same. Every single fan is just as awesome as the next fan. This board is no "better" or "worse" than any other board out there, and I don't for a minute forget that everyone could just up and go anywhere else if they wanted to.

I think if that were true we would have all been gone already. The Daizex board really is the quality of the group.

I don't think posting at Daizex makes us "better" fans, It's just that due to EX's iron fisted rule, everyone is encouraged to write coherent sentences and be civil to one another. We also have a great source of information about the series in the website, which clears up the pointless arguments before they even start.

Also I don't visit any other Dragonball forums because I can't understand what the fucking kids are typing these days.
