The DBZ Live Action Movie is back!
you knoy 6 years ago all the talk of not being able to transfer it to live action was said about stuff like X Men and Spiderman but both have 2 awesome movies right now.
The only limit is in your minds.
A Live Action DBZ movie IS possible but it can NOT follow the same continuity as the TV series but so what - even the ANIMATED movies didnt quite follow them either. A few diffrences here and there for an adaptation does not ruin anything thats why its called an adapatation in the first place.
I actually DO want to see it done now.
before when DBZ wa sin vogue I feared a bad movie because of that - but its NOT in vogue anymore - they arent doing this for the vogue but for the movie and THAT makes me actually rather hopeful towards it but yeah - in the end either it'll be absolutely awesome - or it'll just be a good laugh - what do we have to lose? Honestly - its not like they're taking away the anime and manga and replacing it with a movie as some of you seem to be acting like they are.

I won't trust anything until I see pictures or an official website/official announcement. Besides, I frankly don't want to believe they'll go through with this, since films based on licenses usually suck, nevermind something like Dragonball, with it's convoluted plot, characters that deserve more than two hours of development, and lightning-paced, impossible action sequences. And besides that, action movies usually very much suck. Famed "action directors" are typically either one-hit wonders or just lazy hacks who bring out the same bag of tricks, over and over again.
Suck + Suck = 2Suck = Twice the suck = Waste of celluloid
I don't even think this will be watchable if you try to remember it's going to suck. It will suck in a spectacular way. They should try for a new animation, since Toriyama's style is what gives Dragonball a huge part of its charm. Anything besides live action. ANYTHING.

Ok, ppl are taking it a bit extreme with the whole "you can't make a decent DB movie cuz of all the plot+character development needed!" argument. Look at a lot of comic-based movies. X-Men had what? 30+years of many more characters+many more plotlines than DB?
IT'S A FRICKING MOVIE ADAPTATION! NOT all of everything that ever was DB put into 2 hrs! Think of it as a 2hr retelling of PART of DB, in the fashion that the anniversary movie was a retelling of the first few story arcs of DB.
To top it all off, it's all rumors right now.

It may be a retelling, but it'll still be utterly unfantastic. I'm guessing the fun will range from, at best, a Saturday night, alone at home without a car or any friends, or anything fun to do for that matter to, at worst, waking up one Saturday night with no recollection of the last 36 hours, with a splitting headache and a ten-inch poop shoot.
Extreme, you say? Extreme?! Hardly, my poor, hapless friend. The world may love Dragonball, and us DB fans may love to throw our money around like toilet paper on Halloween night, but those corporate cash-sucking sap-suckers won't stop until they've syphoned our souls! I tell you our innocent, beloved Dragonball will become THEIR own weapon against us. Our minds are being subconsiously herded like blind sheep by the media, damn it! And damned it I'm gonna' let some pasty-faced Republicans tell me which side of the room I can hang my coat!
So yes, I don't look forward to this movie.

You're right. What you said earlier wasn't extreme. This last post of yours was...
