Why did vegeta randomly decide to wear his older armor?

Someone here mentioned that perhaps Vegeta's outfit during the Buu saga is just his usual Saiyan clothes minus the armour; since he was intending to fight at the Budokai he wouldn't have been allowed to wear that...I think it could be something along those lines as it makes sense.

Well, that IS his usual "battle garb." Only reason he wasn't wearing it for the battles with Buu was because it started with a Budokai, where you're not allowed to wear any kind of armor.

Then that got interrupted, they went straight to Babidi's ship, where he got "majinized" and fought Goku and Buu, died in that outfit soon thereafter, the outfit got kept along with his body, etc...

If he'd gotten an opportunity to stop and toss on some armor, he probably would have.

Exactly! I don't know why people are annoyed by how he's using Cell Games Armor vs Majin Boo Armor; there was no Majin Boo-saga armor!

Just a random observation- in the group pic Ta-buru/Tarble seems to be standing next to Roshi, with Grey next to him, next to Gohan(?) in a white suit....yeah, he really is about as short as he could possibly be. Could they not just have made him seem a LITTLE older? I guess a major factor will be his seiyuu; if it's really adolescent-sounding then we're in screwy-canon land, my friends.

Exactly! I don't know why people are annoyed by how he's using Cell Games Armor vs Majin Boo Armor; there was no Majin Boo-saga armor!

Well, I suppose I'm just a big fan of his Boo outfit. It's hard to imagine Vegeta as a SSj2 fightin' in the Saiyan armor.

Truthfully I'd have liked to see him in his end of series outfit with the pretty neat jacket.

Actually, it works a liiiiitle bit better: Goten and Trunks only come up to his hip, whereas Tarble comes up to Vegeta's shoulder (which makes much more sense). It's Gohan who's strangely tall, second only to Piccolo (and not by much).

And yeah, that is a height chart (comparing Aka and Goten). The pic to its immediate bottom right has uber-tall Aka in the middle of that swirling pinkish white cloud.

That would make sense, even though Vegeta had been on earth for over ten years at that point he did not let go of his grudge against Kakarrot and accept his place on earth as in GT, which depicts him as being almost totally assimilated until after the Buu Saga. So naturally, at this time (two years after Buu) he would still be in the transition stage.

First off I am really freaked out by the fact that Grey is only a little taller than Tarble’s knee and that second image which has her facing in a certain direction.

Second, why does Kakarrot have to go Super Saiyan to defeat someone around Freeza’s combat power at this point? His base should be a lot stronger.

Hmmm...I guess he sounds like he could be somewhat older than the design makes one think at first glance (following a quick YouTube search to remind me of Morita's voice) while giving a sense of 'Vegeta's YOUNGER brother' at the same time.

Yeah, that's been the case with every other Fusion we've seen. No reason why Aka would be different.

Abo and Kado are each stronger than Freeza, IIRC? It makes sense that a fusion of two Freeza PLs may be stronger than base Goku.

We are not given the particulars of their type of fusion but that would make sense.

If each is at Freeza’s level then that explains it. Yet, now I wonder what that says about Kakarrot’s combat power as a Super Saiyan 1 in relation to SSJ 1 Chibi Trunks and Son Goten.

That even with their natural-born talent or prowess, two 9 and 10 year old half-Saiyan kids are nowhere near as powerful as a 50-something adult Saiyan who's lived for almost nothing but improving himself all his life?

Wait, wait, I'm saying that based on what I've read on Japanese forums and stuff. I haven't seen any official confirmation.
But if it's not him, I think we can assume it still sounds a lot like him. So that should give us a good idea anyway...
