What is so special about the R2 collection anyway that make $1000 justifiable to a buyer? I undrstand your fincinal justification but... $1000? As much as their bashed, the Funi Orange Box's are a great value (I survived seeing a few disappearing lines and and black bars).

They cost a lot to obtain, obviously Toreto thought it was worthwhile.

Picture quality, mostly. The videophile in me, however, is far overpowered by the frugal spender in me.

Personally, I'd purchase those just for the sake of 'having them'. Plus, the covers are pretty.

Ehhrrr... I dunno? The actuall price is way more than 1000$ for that collection... That's like 1/2 Dragon Boxes.

But $1000? I see myself as a somewhat hardcore DBZ fan but that is ridiculous.

Dragon Box retail=1000$ There's two DBOXes in Z so 2000$ in total.

What do you call the people that purchased all of the Dragon Boxes then?

The Dragonboxes can be bought for cheaper on Yahoo Japan Auctions.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Hey just a heads up, I don't what this thread to turn into a fight. I like to hear the views of both people who justify the Dragon Boxes, and others who think the price is bogus.

I'm not trying to provoke a fight, I'm just honestly dont know what the R2's or the Dragonboxes have that make them special. As expensive as they are, they should have some pretty sweet stuff.

Yeah, used in bad condition most of the time. Anway, I don't care what people think of my listing. I believe it's fair considering if someone wanted to buy the 33 singles from a retailer they would pay around 1300-1400$ not counting shipping.

I actually don't care if I sell these. If I do, good. If I don't, good too. I'll just purchase the rest of the series in single format. I like both releases. Dragon Boxes are just for the extras, I don't really care otherwise.

Real remastering and some awesome extras. Other than that, I don't know what else it has.

Considering how bad the global economy is right now, I doubt even the most hardcore Dragonball fan would drop 1 grand on 33 singles. Personally I know what I could(and can) do with that kind of money. But there is nothing wrong with you wanting to get the Dragonboxes.

Use the search function, several threads have just that. Check Funi's forum, there are even more threads there dedicated to comparision shots.

Lol. I found a comparison. Yes, I am happy with the Funi dub. It does have low quality at time but I can still tell whats going on. Its cheap and a great value. I'm a poor college student that doesn't know Japanese, thats prolly why I'm not getting the whole R2/Dragonbox phenomem.
