This game is actually, for me, becoming more than what I expected. I mean, sure, the story mode might not be the greatest, and it should've been Budokai 3 style, but, if you ask me, I just care about the gameplay. And hopefully we'll be getting some new gameplay videos between October 9th and October 12th because of Namco Bandai's Tokyo Game Show line-up.

The intro looks like it'll be 3Dish, reminds me of the Dragon Ball Online trailer's vid. XD

Its as if they've combined everything thats great about the DragonBall games so far!
Also, the 3D intro is VERY impressive.
Wow, how weird is that, a 3D intro that looks great?
Screw you Spike.
We salute you Dimps!

Wow... the intro is AMAZING. It literally KILLS all of Spike's half-crapped Budokai Tenkaichi intros. The gameplay looks really awesome... and the mini-games look very fluid, fun and stunning. I am very pleased to finally buy a DBZ game that can actually be bigger, better, and badder than the almighty Budokai 3 was!
This is easily the coolest 3-D intro I've ever seen of all the ones produced so far.
This game was just sliding along on my radar, but now I'm really interested in it. X3
I mean, you can RUN. And JUMP. Simple additions, but full of goodness.
Also I love how not-bulky the characters are in this compared to the Tenkaichi series.

I wont lie and say I'm not dissapointed by the lack of a traditionally animated 2d intro. Even though this intro seems to be the same level of quality as the Dragonball Online trailer, I still think it's pretty ugly.
But then I'm the kind of guy that can't stand Pixar films for the most part, and can bitch and moan for hours about the state of animation today.
Anyway, the Dragon missions look neat, but I hope they've added some new features into the fighting engine, it looks a little too similar to Budokai 3.

Well the intro is quite good. The game play is really good, too. But all I want is graphics that are greatly improved from when Budokai 3 came out. It's been the same for so long. But with all of the new things that are in this game, I guess I'll be fine.

They could have at least animated a new intro for the game. If this is going to be the final and greatest "Budokai" out of all of them you would think they could do that.

I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

Exactly. What kills me is that they'll take the time to make a new song for the intro but no new animation. Before we got into this "Everything 3D" era they used to always animate the openings for the games. In my opinion the 3D openings always completely miss the point. Whenever I watched the intro's for Budokai 2 and 3, they would always get me hyped to play the game. On the other hand you have this 3D garbage which to me is just lame. "Oh wow they're fighting randomly and flying around!" Um yeah *presses start*. Give me a break. As bad as Final Bout was I could still get excited to play it by watching the intro. Alright. That ends my rant for the night.Captain Awesome wrote:My thoughts exactly, hell I would have settled for a mishmash of the Budokai 2 and 3 openings.

Yeah. Besides the lack of 2D animation, this game looks really good. Which is weird, because it kind of came out of nowhere and didn't really attract too much attention. I thought it was going to be a very forgettable game. Yet it seems like its going to be the best Dragonball game in awhile. Which is great, what with the anti-climax that was Burst Limit.
Dragonball DS, Infinite World, new Dragonball special...um, yeah, I'm in a good mood
