I stand correctedCaptain-Sora wrote:Another new vid of Paikuhan vs Super Buu with the new song from Kageyama playing in the background during the match(it can be heard more clearly before the match begins).
Also this answers the questions I had about the Ultimates, they're retaining the B3 cutscene style, instead of following in the same vein as Shin Budokai and Burst Limit.
I'm kind of happy about that, I didn't want a low resolution version of Burst Limit with more characters.

So um... for those of us who don't feel like/don't have the time to browse through all of the videos and screenshots... anybody have a confirmed roster thus far?
It's odd that it's this close to release and there haven't been shockingly revealing character scans in V-Jump or something....

Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

My feels are somewhat reversed now.
It just seems TOO similar to Budokai 3.
I expected the graphics, and gameplay to be similar, but the more I see, the less I'm impressed. New intro looks great, and a new song is always fantastic but..
The stages, the music, its all ripped right from Budokai 3.
The graphics are not improved in the slightest, and it looks like the only new characters are what we have seen so far, I'd love it if all the Cardass characters were in there, but I just have a feeling Dimps got lazy, and didn't put them in, becaused it'd take effort to down the graphics on the newer character models (GT Goku, Pan ect).

Changed the subject title of the thread since it's evolved so much into a general discussion of what's going on, and it's leaning more towards Infinite World.
Infinite World looks like it's moving at a really nice blazing speed, so I'm happy about that. Just putting that out there
.
I was also really hoping they'd go all out and include all of the new character models from things like W Bakuretsu Impact, but that's probably just not meant to be. Looks like they're walking the fine line of "too-many-characters-a-la-Sparking!" and a few new mini-games / side-quests to flesh it all out as an experience.
Something I think we all need to keep in mind is how absurdly stretched Dimps is right now... between work Street Fighter IV and even to some extent the new Sonic stuff, it's pretty clear that DBZ has been their back-burner material (which I personally think is horribly reflected in Burst Limit, which should/could have been so much more of a "next-gen" debut for them). The fact that they could rely the Shin Budokai and Bakuretsu Impact variations on the initial Budokai series kinda shows that.
I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but I'm also extremely curious about how much of an American sway there was in getting this game released. Atari basically remains on life-support thanks to DBZ, and FUNimation essentially gets free money every time a game comes out... combine that with the fact that it's coming out a month earlier in America than Japan for the first time since the initial release of Budokai 3, and there's some pretty compelling evidence. If there was that much pressure from the American side to get something out, a Version 3.5 makes a whole lot of freakin' sense.

Yes, this I agree with. The pacing in this game does look great, easily what I'm looking forward to most, so far.VegettoEX wrote:Infinite World looks like it's moving at a really nice blazing speed, so I'm happy about that. Just putting that out there.
I also see your point about Dimps being really overworked right now.
I just wish we could've had W Bakuretsu Impact's graphical updates in this game, it would've made it seem less of a.. well, rehash.

I'm so-so with W Bakuretsu Impact's graphics considering the models sometimes look too shiny, plus, I don't really have an issue with B3 models so I'm fine with how they looked originally. I'm just waiting to see how good the story mode's gonna be. I want something awesome, cool and fun for a while. Basically the games had reach near-perfect and have presented nostalgia nicely, this is just patching up and making it burst its limits(lol, lame joke), past the greatness that was B3. Either way, I don't see how this game would go wrong, the Snake Way mini-game was enough to gain my attention.
And finally, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW SONG TO BE RELEASED. OH YEAH!

The good thing about this vid is the revealing of cutscenes. NOW WE'LL MOST LIKELY FINALLY GET BUU SAGA AND GT CUTSCENES, FINALLY. Sheesh, the BT2 ones were crap for those parts, this time we'll get some high quality stuff. :3
