Apart from the yellow crap all over his skin, Super Saiya-jin Goku with a scouter is kinda neat.

The funny thing is that the original is only about 2 inches tall!

I wish I could find the picture now....

Yoland, I love you.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
You mean these were actually cast from molds?

I just assumed someone melted a bunch of G.I Joes together and tried to sell them.

Nope, they be realz! Hence the reason it's so hard to believe that they are really licensed products!

For your amusement, here are some pictures of other insane looking bootlegs!

This one was apparently a prize of some kind at a place like Six Flags or something like that. I do NOt own this figure:

That looks like Mike Judge's take on DBZ.

OMG, white Piccolo is just awesome!

Since we're talking about bootlegs, I must bring up the most bizarre piece of Dragonball merchandise I own (I first posted it about 2 years ago in the 'Show off your crap' thread, but it warrants reposting!). While I was in Japan during the summer of 2004, I found a toy shop that had all these Kewpie doll style figures of various anime characters, selling them in pairs on cellphone straps. There were a couple of Dragonball ones, and I just had to pick up the one with Piccolo and Kamesennin. Why in the world would these two be paired together? I have no idea, but it's just so cute! (and totally not official merchandise for either Kewpie or Dragonball)

Looks like that Ripley clone from Alien Ressurection.

Goku looks like he has been smoking something wacky! That would explain why he is always chilled out!

True, but you got to love the fact that they at least tried to recreate a rare image from the manga! However, the level of failure is truly something to behold!

That little guy has to be one of my most prized Dragonball possessions! I wouldn't' trade him for all the Bandai in Japan!

...I would however trade the double that I have of him for all the Bandai in Japan

And now behold my 15" purple Goku of doom:

And with his friend, the 15" Kid Trunks of Eternal Sorrow... And pain:

And again to cement the confusion over toys that look like bootlegs but aren't - the ones below are %100 legit!:
