Best Shipping, Amazon Japan or CDJapan?

Post by disturbed001 » Sun Oct 12, 2008 3:04 pm

I'm looking to buy some Japanese Manga and DVD, but I wanted to know from people with first hand experience which is the best way for shipping. I guess I just want to know whats cheapest for buying like one or two things, and which is cheapest for buying a lot at once. Your help is greatly appriciated, thanks!

I only really use Amazon Japan, but as an example of their shipping charges, I've just ordered Daizenshuu 5 and 6 in two separate orders, each for about 1200 yen (6 GBP, so I guess 12 USD?) and the shipping on each is 1200 yen as well, so....it all depends what you consider worthwhile expenditure I suppose ^^

The Daizenshuu are in stock? O_o;;

Anyway, CD Japan's shipping is much better in my opinion, but Amazon typically has discounts (especially on preorders) that make CD Japan look a bit overpriced (as, in my experience, they do straight MSRP).

MajinVegetaXV- yeah, each volume is available through marketplace sellers, but not direct from Amazon Japan. While browsing I noticed a few of them weren't available for sale overseas from any sellers, though.
