Err... doesn't Dende go there with just Kaioshin/Kibito? Or has it been too long since I've watched this part of the show? :?

Dende goes to New Namek with both Kaioshins. After dying, the old Kaioshin gets right back up, though he now has a halo over his head. After the wish to bring everyone back to life is granted, his halo disappears.

He's a Kaioshin. My thoughts were he could go to heaven whenever he damn well felt like it.

Precisely; the Elder Kaioshin is way above Lord Enma, so the regular rules of death don't seem to apply to him, just like they didn't for North Kaio.

That's a hell of a career change.

Deus, it's Liam, he doesn't know the meaning of slack. :P

But, on topic, that's how I've always seen it. The Kais can do what the please since, well, they're Kais. If the old Kai wants to got to New Namek, or get laid, after he's dead, more power to him. 8)

I appolgise then. I don't like to take the micky out of people speaking English as a second language, since they're doing far better than I ever have.

Anyway, is it possible that Old Kai was using his free 24 hour hour thing? Or maybe it's like how Goku managed to return to Earth for a very brief period in movie...8, I think?

Is the 24-hour rule something physical, or merely Emma trying to make sure death isn't something completely pointless? Baba was trying to hurry Goku to return to heaven, remember. It wasn't like he just disappeared. So maybe if no-one notices, dead people with bodies can just do what they want.

That was movie 9 I believe. As for the other stuff... no real clue. I think there's more to the 24 hour time limit then just an arbitrary rule/number. Goku did have to return to Otherworld sooner than expected becuase of over doing it with his SSJ3 transformation. Still, I think it's just a case of Kais being able to do whatever they want.

If I remember correctly, Kaio-shin-ka (Kaio-shin and Elder Kaio-shin's planet) isn't just some planet somewhere, it's a part of the Heavenly Realm, much like Kaio-sama's planet. That's why everyone was so surprised that Buu was able to follow them there (but, hey, he escaped the Room of Time & Space on his own, so why not?)

You're right. Kaioshinkai is in the afterlife, "next" to Heaven. They were surprised because not only was Boo able to teleport, but he was able to sense them from so damn far away.
