Theory on TVY7 vs. TVG

Back on topic, another reasoning I have for my theory is how they always make those frothy glasses of water for the CN version of DBZ, yet they can show Daffy Duck drinking a big jug of booze and get very drunk! Or that might be because they look at a cartoon that's less "cartoony" doing something bad as not cool. For example my dad used to not like the Simpsons because of Bart's behavior, yet at the same time accepted Montana Max from Tiny Toons who did worse things. He said the Simpsons was less fantasy than Tiny Toons, so he looked at both shows differently.

If you remember the Ani-Mayhem card game, I have a DBZ edition card with a picture of Roshi holding a glass of beer, with the glass crossed out. The card's entitled "Frothy Mugs of Water."
When you think about it, it's true TVY7 shows that have action in them are always largely edited or obviously toned down in violence. When I was in the Philippines last week, I was watching CN and they were showing that old show Swat Cats. In the opening theme they said something about fighting, "but only when the bad guys start it first." Then I noticed how during the show, whenever someone got hit or shot at, they would just be knocked back. I don't know where I was going with that, but Looney Toons is full of the poor coyote falling off cliffs and being blown up by dynamite. But then again, Looney Toons is just like comic mischief or cartoon violence, whereas a show like Dragon Ball, especially DBZ, was about fighting in life-death situations. Or something. Maybe FUNi was aiming for a TVG rating with their "other dimension," "HFIL," and "It'll grow back."

I was voted "most unique" and "most likely to become the next existential thinker" in high school.
No, they were aiming at "doing what Saban told them to do or the show would not be made" with those things.
And as for Daffy getting drunk, I'll again play the "it's a classic so it can get away with more".
I do find it amusing when people complain that Bart is a bad influence. The kid is constantly stopping evil murderers, standing up for his (extremely nerdy) friend, and often demonstrates a large amount of love for his family, especially his sister. Whenever he does something bad, he gets his comupence. He's a great example to kids.

This was back when a lot of people were complaing about the Simpsons when it first premiered. He's come around now. With Saban, I think they were trying to avoid the controversy that happened when they adapted another Toei property a few years earlier that had lots of people bitching about how "violent" it was. I'm assuming you guys know what I'm talking about.
True. But it strikes me that if you don't want to have complaints about how violent your programming is, then don't make (or import) violent programming.
And Bart was like that pretty much from the beginning. He just fell into the catagory of "easy scapegoat for people to blame the woes of society on".
