Was Lord Slugg aware of his Namekian heritage?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Was Lord Slugg aware of his Namekian heritage?

In Movie 4, Kaio states that Slugg was sent to a planet baring his name (well, vice-versa, I guess) as an infant to escape the storms on Namek. Although Slugg appears to share some racial memories (he's vaguely aware of the Dragon Balls), he doesn't appear to know anything else about his heritage.

Although I think the dub (sadly, I forget which company's dub) outright remarks that Slugg doesn't know he's a Namekian, the Japanese version doesn't seem to state it quite as outright.

While it is certainly a logical conclusion and one which I am predisposed to accept (it would also fit into the movie being an entire rethread of the Piccolo Daimao Saga), is there a point in the Japanese version of the movie, or even some other source, that states that Slugg does not know he's a Namekian?

well I'm not sure, i mean its a movie they were never too consistent with the TV show or the manga, i mean look back at the Dragonball movies they are a retelling of the show but with slightly different context.
