If I have to do in-depth research of a movie to decide whether I'm interested in seeing it or not, then something's wrong here. I have a general idea already of why I might or might not see the movie. Based on several screenshots, a leaked teaser, and a few posters, only one poster is easily recognizable as the Dragonball I know and love.Chrono Trigger wrote:I love how the main people against the movie know next to nothing about it. It takes 2 seconds to do a little research. I mean if you're gonna be against something at least be accurate about it.You can't just look at a handful of pictures and read a few sarcastic ass comments on a message board and then think that's enough.
That poster would be the Japanese poster with Goku in the Kame uniform from behind with a very colorful background. As far as I've been told, that as doctored a little bit to look more colorful than the original scan. Other than that, so far everything else has been all Earthy tones and dark stuff.
If advertisements at a later time closer to when the movie hits theaters convince me that the movie is mostly going to be like that colorful poster that just screams, "Lighthearted martial arts adventure with a few serious twists here and there," then I'll likely go see the damn movie.
To put it simply, most of everything I've seen so far feels like a visual representation of Bruce Fulconer music. I don't like Bruce Fulconer's music. That one poster I saw that I really like feels like a visual representation of Makafushigi Adventure or Cha-La Head Cha-La on full-blast injecting pure happiness into my brain. If advertising convincens me that its going to be surgically-implanted happiness, I'll go see it.
I don't want a "hardcore" Dragonball movie that has the color scheme of the bastard child of Gears of War and Halo.
