That's a decent comparison though.
Kamehameha: Gather ki and then launch a flame-ish ki attack made by cupping your hands together.
Hadoken: Gather ki into electrical form and cup hands together so as to launch a flame-ish ki attack.
Rasengan: Gather chakra into small, tennis-ball sized transparent orb using one hand alone. Hurl it like a shotput.
How is Rasengan like Hadoken?!

I've never seen the Rasengan thrown, Dayspring... he always just rams it into them. Never leaves his hand.

The kamehameha however is a beam-type attack, whereas the hadoken is a ball of energy/chi. By the way, what does the word "hadoken" translate to anyways? I'm assuming it isn't "fireball" like it used to be called.

If I remember right, I remember playing either a Street Fighter game or some Capcom vs. SNK game or something where Ryu's Hadoken was a beam attack. The Kamehameha isn't always a beam, either. When Son Goku fought Freeza, he made two Kamehamehas and sent them out as just normal energy balls. ...
And for the translation, Hadoken probably means something fist.
Chakra and ki seem very similar, but assuming ki is energy/stamina, chakra and ki are very different. Naruto explains that chakra and stamina are two different factors--chakra comes from stamina. I think Dragon Ball's ki is more realistic than chakra. Sending a ball of light that explodes? Unrealistic. Creating multiple flesh and blood copies of yourself? Very Unrealistic.

And, obviously, DragonBall characters never created multiple copies of themselves. Nope. Not at any point.

The hadoken/kamehameha/et cetera are all based on a ki attack that monks supposedly invented.
And I believe "Hadoken" means "wave fist" or "surge fist".
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

The shinkuu-hadoken is a beam only in the Marvel vs. series. The regular old hadoken is always a ball.

Actually, from the bits and pieces I've seen of the Street Fighter Anime the Hadoken was a beam style attack there as well. And I'm pretty sure it was beam style in one of the SF games is a super too...

Depends on what SF anime your talkin here, in the Animated Movie, its a ball, but in SF2V its sometimes a ball or a beam (which becomes a ball slowly as it leaves the hands).
And like mentioned above, only the Marvel vs. series do we see the beam Hadouken.
SHINKU...HADOUKEN!!!
