I have a question. What exactly is the symbol behind Piccolo on the cover? Let's recap, we've had the Kaio symbol for Season 1, 2, 4, and 5, and the turtle symbol for season 3. So, the World Tournament, or Kami symbol perhaps concerning season 7?

Imo, FUNi should have done something fun with the Dragonball community. For instance, lay out a selection of character images for every season set release, and set up a poll for a vote. Better yet, have alternate covers for each season set to mix things up. Sadly, it's all said and done now I suppose. /woulda coulda shoulda blabla..

Kid Buu is the most logical choice for the final cover; Freeza, and Cell have graced the faces of the orange bricks, it'd be awkward to snuff out the final villain on these covers.

Not bad, not bad. This looks promising.

The footage looks blurred as hell. Not much of an improvement from Season 6, but hey it'll probably look better in motion, and atleast nobody's face is a cream, ghostly white.

Thanks for the screenshots, and trailer!

Isn't that the exact same Majin Vegeta picture as we had on Babidi: Rivals? Well, at least it makes more sense than Season 1 Piccolo on Season 7's cover. I'd really like to see Vegetto on the last set. That or a pic of Pilaf. I assume that as far as Funi is concerned, either option makes sense at this point.

Looks to me like they brought back the remastering process of Season 1. I haven't seen the colors and blurring look that bad since then.

That's being a bit extreme. I'd say it's just the quality of the Frame snapshot.

I dunno...seems almost identical to what they did with the first season, minus the tears and vanishing lines.

The blues, purples and greens are especially noticeable for being really dark in those screens. Looks quite different from what we've seen in Season 6.

I see where your coming from...but do you really think FUNi would go back to the old season one ways just like that?

Hey, they seem to not be very consistent in anything else. Why not mess up this even more? :D

Seriously though, agreeing with Tsukento here.
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". Consistency is a word FUNi does not understand. At least not with Dragon Ball, anyways.

The Burdock special kept CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA, meanwhile every episode and the Trunks special all had the boring remastered opening tune.

They've been remastering the entire series so far in 'the old season one ways' this entire time. The 'quality' of each set varies due to the film that FUNi has to play with, and whether or not the folks who are responsible for this 'remastering' process decides to crank up or tone down the brightness and contrast levels. Videophiles Corey, and Acid_Rain should be able to elaborate upon this subject in a much more informative way if you have any questions.

We all know who's fault it is though...that bitch Steve Franco. I'm sick of his "Hmm, i think i'll fuck DBZ this season" then his "Actually, lets make it look fairly nice on this season." Him and his fucking mood swings.
