Ninja Town DS - References Dragon Ball Z Dub Line? With Pic,

So I was playing the new Ninja Town game for the DS, http://ds.ign.com/objects/957/957851.html,
when the game tossed a DBZ reference at me from the US dub. I took a picture of it, here it is.

Anyways, they were talking about how many bad guys were left.
What do you think? Was it a reference to DBZ? Or just well placed?

Is there some sort of secret shadow government squad of "over 9000" haters who spend their days being deployed into search engines with digital knives made of nerd rage? Seriously, its like people hunt it out just to say that it sucks.

Its two years old, for a meme that's ancient.
(Also I always kind of thought the 9000 meme was more about mocking the series than paying any kind of tribute. It's not like Abridged or AR which are made by fans.)

And bleh, I'd never willingly search out anything that upsets me. If anything I try to avoid such things. I'm no sadist and I don't understand how people get off on searching out things they dislike.

I had no way of knowing that'd be the line referenced by the topic title. I wouldn't have clicked this topic at all if it'd mentioned 9000 in it. ^^;;;;

The whole 9000 thing isn't bad, but neither is it the end-all-be-all of humor that so many people seem to think it is.

I just don't like that now the way people recognize Dragonball is through that whole 9000 thing.

It's when Japan starts recognizing and knowing the English dub through the "over 9,000!!" quote that I will deny having ever watched it.

Personally, I'm really getting sick of it. At school, whenever people I know talk about Dragonball, they always mention Over 9000. The urge that it's a dub-line makes me annoyed, the fact that it was originally "Higher than 8000!". Damn Brian Drummond and Ocean Dub for that line.

Next mission: Terminate Kajetokun and reset time.

I disagree. I can cope with everyone yelling where they sound constipated, showing the characters yelling with no audio would be just wrong.
