The problem is more like that FUNIMATION DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE DOING. First the episode count was 32, wrong cover, then 38, then 34. Sigh lol.

That's what I mean, yeah.

I honestly don't know how many episodes are "really" on this set. I should by now, but I don't. Is it due to a lack of research? No, it's just because FUNimation hasn't solidified any press concerning this release. At all.

It's a tad annoying.

And on the season 7 set, the trailer for GT still says 32 episodes...

To a degree, I suppose that's true (and that FUNimation knows it). Most of us would buy whatever release was coming whether it had ample press or not.

But hell, even the Z sets have cover art and episode counts given months in advance of their release. But here we're less than four weeks from Season One of GT and don't even know for sure whether the shit's gonna be in widescreen? WTF?!

It blows.

I know it's pointless to say what's already been said, but I'm just so so confused on why the hell out of all the approriate characters would they put Piccolo on this cover. It just baffles my mind.

I'm cool with Piccolo. My single gripe about it is that he's taking what's probably Gohan's last chance to have even one cover out of nine for a series in which he's arguably the most important character.

One of the big moments in this series is when Piccolo shits himself when he realizes who he is fighting...the fucking Lord of Lords. I think that justifies a cover.

But is he shooting a Makankosappo? Plus the picture is from the Saiyan arc or something.

Gohan could make the season 9 cover, at the rate they're going

I would have liked a Saiyaman cover for the reason that it would have been appropriate to this set, but at the same time I wouldn't have because I wouldn't want the Great Saiyaman to be "the" one representative shot we get of Gohan for the entire series.

If it came to that or NO representative shot, though-- like we're getting-- then yeah; I'd have taken a goofy Saiyaman pose.

That's actually what I meant, either Gohan with his bandana and sunglasses, or just with the suit and no face coverings.

Well, then yeah! I'd be all over that in a heartbeat.

Mind you, I think that if Gohan was going to nail a cover, it should have been Season Six and in his SSJ2 form-- that's when his character arc hit its peak. But your suggestion works well just for the sake of getting him on a cover at all.
