New PS2 Listings (Trilogy & Infinite World)
Depends on which you prefer: gameplay or "Next-Gen-ness." From the look of things, Burst Limit looked great, played very smoothly, and had a very good combat engine and controls, but in terms of characters, story, and overall presentation, it was just Budokai 1 again for a new console generation.
Infinite World has almost all of that, but a LOT more carried over from Budokai 3, and even some new extra bells and whistles. Just doesn't look as pretty.

All I know is that there is no Warp Kamehameha for Goku ultimate..
I don't think the gameplay is good because I also play Shinbudokai.
Comparing both Infinite World is really slowed. Man you have to be
standing still to use auraburst! That suk.
Shinbudokai also had 2 extra attacks when using aura, Infiniteworld
just have one and you can't really combo with it.
The infinite hypermode lets you keep teleporting till the ki of your
enemy is over, then just pursuit (I mean teleport, pursuit is not the
best word) three times and you take out lots of lots of energy.
The pursuits don't have a final attack like Shinb.
You can't pursuit when to near the ground, unlike Shinb smashdown.
I don't think IW game is well balanced.

Can someone please help me in IW?
I am stuck when I try to finish that mission with Tenshinhan (teleporting and hitting him).
I figured out how to teleport when someone attacks me, but I can't manage to use teleport follow-up attacks Oo
Plus IW has a pretty bad skills screen...
So if someone could tell me how to do it, I'd be very grateful - thanks in advance!

Ok, teleport counter is dpad in the direction of your opponent and guard when timed correctly, but it looks like you got that. Pursuit attack is after you send your opponent flying, hit L1 (I think) and you'll teleport behind them and hit them, which you can chain two extra times.kaioken12 wrote:I am stuck when I try to finish that mission with Tenshinhan (teleporting and hitting him).

Thank you very much - I finally finished that level
I have a new question: I can't really figure out what this game wants me to do in the first Yamcha level... I mean, it's jumping up after when hitting the ground three times - and then?
Could you guys please help me out again?
I like the game in general (despite some flaws I noticed), but I absolutely dislike that there is so little information given on what you have to do or how you have to do it.
I think a good tutorial would have included at least some hints about HOW to do things like dodging and so on.
Of course, I could figure some things out myself - but only because I have played B3. Plus, I forgot most of the combos and the game is at least a little different from B3 gameplay-wise - so all in all it's pretty hard to understand the basics :/
(I don't even have an instruction manual as I rented the game and the shop keeps these things away from customers due to the fact that they had been stolen in the past... )

I only played it once and it's been awhile now, but I'm pretty sure for the Yamcha mission all you have to do is do a directional roll 3 times in every direction.
You know what a roll is right? It's when you press X right when you get knocked down and the character jumps back up again instead of laying on the ground. You can control the direction they jump back up in.

This makes no sense when you consider the fact that Budokai 3 was given a 8.0 on the very same website.finnishjuoppo wrote:Damn IGN gave 3.5 to IW,well that just sucks
The person reviewing the game said that he didn't know how to do training levels because it didn't tell him how. He must have missed the big button under Edit Skills that said "Instructions". So we know this person doesn't take the time to read text, check.
He noted that the gameplay was too "slow" and made the fighting boring. So we know this person is easily irritated by things that are "slow", check.
He said that the graphics on the game were "blocky" and didn't look as good as the next generation systems. So we know that this person failed to realize that this game is on the PS2 console, check.
So let us review
The game reviewer had the following
A. He doesn't take the time to read text
B. He becomes easily frustrated by slow moving objects
C. He fails to recognize the console he is using
It looks like we've got a classic case of a gamer who is unsatisfied with anything that isn't called Halo 3. I'd say this game should've gotten a better score, but it just had a moron giving out the grade.

Greg Miller is an absolute legend, so stop getting all pissed off because he didn't like your game.SSJ2bardock wrote:It looks like we've got a classic case of a gamer who is unsatisfied with anything that isn't called Halo 3. Being the same website doesn't mean anything; it's a different reviewer than the person who reviewed Budokai 3.SSJ2bardock wrote:This makes no sense when you consider the fact that Budokai 3 was given a 8.0 on the very same website.finnishjuoppo wrote:Damn IGN gave 3.5 to IW,well that just sucks

While I personally wouldn't rate this game that low, I'm not mad with this review. If that's his opinion of the game, that's fine. Not everyone's going to like the same games. The only thing I don't like: the part where he said the game didn't tell him how to finish missions. That's not an opinion. That's a LIE. They clearly do provide instructions.
