Something about the whole "Well if they're not gonna do anything, don't put them there" logic just makes my head wanna explode. It's obvious there are times where some of the characters can't do a thing to the main enemy (i.e. most of the Freeza fight), but it's not like they sit around for no reason other than to gawk and cheer.

In most cases it would actually make it worse if they intervened. The whole point is that there's a certain limit that they can't contribute anything after and would only serve as a liability to the people who CAN fight. So instead they separate themselves from the field of battle so Goku can fight for all of them and not have any more trouble to worry about.

I'm sort of on the fence here... I enjoy Dragonball Z quite a bit, and by no means consider myself a "hater"... but I really do agree with a lot of the points he put forth. The series as a whole really was sort of forced to fit a certain demographic in a lot of points, which led to being extremely repetitive and predictable at some points.

That said, the video was meant to point out these things in a comedic way. The things he said were true and really have some merit to them, but at the same time these things are really minor if you actually enjoy the show. Yes, it would be better off with a bit more variety, but what can you expect out of an anime series that spans over 200 episodes? =P

The group bashing mentality here is fair, but it's not really put forth very well... I just see claims of "Oh man, this guy's a generic Dragonball hater!" but that's your entire defense. I've come to expect a lot of really well-put points here on these forums; it'd be really nice to see a decent defense of the series directed against the complaints proposed in this video.

Come on, guys, don't let me down! ;)

This guy isn't very detailed or specific in his complaints, so why should we be?

I hate it when people say this. "Villains arrives and good guys win" is not arepettive when it happens differently every time. I don't find the original SSJ Transformation predictable. Nor Gohan taking over for Goku. Nor Fusion.

When Goku started talking about Fusion in the Buu saga it shocked the hell outta me. I tell you folks this is pure comedy. You know this person could be a big Dragonball fan. Who better than to use tired arguments and make a funny video out of it. Team 4 Star does it all the time.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I really don't think so. There's a difference between poking fun at things and making a complaining video.

Hey, it took up a good chunk of time in the series. Gave a lot of memorable fights.

The idea of Fusion spanned from after Super Saiyan 3 Goku's fight with Boo all the way through the small Majin Boo. So that is quite a lot done involving Fusion.

Except none of it went anywhere because it was Goku at the end with a Spirit Bomb.

Wait. Villains arrive and the good guys win?! What kind of unoriginal trash is that! This is a very legitimate complaint! Protagonists should never win! The nerve that Toriyama guy had!!!

I've listened to q few of his videos and he is actually informed on most of them, and I can see his points, but I don't care.

What more defense can you come up with when he is spouting generic complaints? Most people here are just, "been there, done this, deja vu, generic hater," and move on I think.

Yeah. I mean the clincher has got to be the most generic statement of them all. Toilet jokes with power up's. Oh gee, that's only been around since 1999 (Maybe earlier).

Okay... this guy is a serious douchebag. First of all, what the hell is the point of the video? Second of all, this guy is trying way too hard to imitate Zero Punctuation and failing miserably. I don't understand what goes through someone''s head when they are making a pointless video like this. Does he just want to increase the size of his e-penis? It is obvious that this jackass knows nothing about the series whatsoever.
