Don't get me wrong, the Wii is a great system and it's loads of fun, but I just don't think your getting the most out of your fighting game with the Wii.
(Oh yeah, I have a Wii and a PS2, so this isn't just console fan-boy squabbling)
Both of these are compatible with Sparking METEOR, as well as most fighting games that come out on Wii. I played METEOR with the GameCube controller and it worked perfectly.

I know, and I was pointing out that the Wiimote's shortcomings don't matter because there are other controllers you can use with the Wii that work well for fighting games.

Point taken again, damn you!
-edit- although now that I think about it, if you have to go to the lengths of getting a different controller just to play it on Wii wouldn't it make more sense just to get it on PS2 in the first place?

Not if you don't own a Ps2.
Besides, Sparking! Meteor does look a little bit nicer on the Wii, and lets not forget the broken online play.

You need a Classic or GameCuber controller if you want to play most of the games on Virtual Console, and it's the best control scheme for some retail games, most people who buy a Wii will probably need to buy one or the other at some point. Plus, like Captain Awesome said, some people don't have a PS2.

I get the point that you're making, but with the exception of anime fighting games where the the control scheme isn't more than one attack button and special button, most traditional fighters are somewhat difficult with a Gamecube controller. I once tried playing Capcom vs SNK 2 on the Gamecube, and that was horrible with the different shaped buttons and different sizes. The Classic controller is much better but I hate the way it's shaped. I have a hard time holding it in my hans for long periods of time.
Samurai Shodown 1 and 2 were released on the Virtual Console but I'm holding out for a PS2 compilation because I don't want to use the controllers.
But back to BT3 ...
I use the Classic controller because the scheme is more like the Dual Shock, but I really hate where they have the Ki Charge button.

Controls wise ? Take the Wii version. Really funny, but still accurate.

Well, I answered this question :
Komati wrote:I'am thinking about getting this game, should I get it fo PS2 or Wii? Control wise, not the exclusive things for each version.

There are several ways to play this game on Wii, the Wiimote + Nunchuk combo is one of them, and the controls are excellent. You can play with the classis controller, just like on the PS2, but you really miss something.
So yeah, control wise, I think you should buy the Wii version. Unless you think the specific controllers are part of the "exclusive things for each version".

The emboldened portion is why I asked if you read the last 10 posts, we pretty much just went through how the Wiimote is lacking in what you could be getting from a dualshock controller. I guess to each his own.

Maybe it's me, but I really dig the Wii remote/nunchuck control scheme. o_O I actually have more difficulty trying to use the damn Classic Controller and GameCube controller than I do with the basic setup.
With Sparking! NEO, I had to because the Wii remote/nunchuck scheme was so awful. But they seemed to work a way that's actually playable and works nicely this time around (let me tell you, swinging the remote and nunchuck in an up and down motion instead of spinning the analog stick is faaaar better since I don't have to free one hand when two characters clash).
Although I do hate moves that require bringing the controls to your chest and then down to your hips (self-exploding moves).

Absolutely. I just thought I could give my two cents about the subject. And believe me, there are as many people in both sides.

If you could be a little more specific that would help, but I don't ever remember the unlockabes in Sparking ever being harder than a simple "beat up bad guy A to unluck item B" so just try pounding someones face in.

Don't go in for close combat. Use ki attacks for hit and run.
Not all that fun but it gets the job done.

Going back to the wii, nintendo's not allowed to sell that OR the wavebird until a pending appeal on some sortof copyright infringement.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Question.
I have only experienced this in story mode, but I'd like to use it sometime to surprise my friends.
How do you execute the high speed movement struggles? Where the characters "Dragon Dash" toward one another like they're about to colide then they "afterimage" and start to collide, in random areas, creating sonic booms.

I think that's only started automatically in story mode.
