"Dragon Fall" -- Now in Graphic Novel Format!

Post by SonGokuGT » Sat Nov 22, 2008 7:42 pm

Hey all! The Spanish fan-made Dragonball parody "Dragon Fall" that most of us know has been re-released in Spain as graphic novels. I got them all as a gift from my grandma [haha!] so I'm sharing the covers with all you fine people!

Also important to know is that these versions include an extra standalone chapter by the original authors and are pretty damn hilarious.

Here they are:

Haha.. Those are pretty cute. I wouldn't mind reading them myself.

Want. Maybe I know enough that I can read it... I mean, I have 23 of the Kanzenban and get most of it.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Probably the most accurate summary of the end of DBZ ever.

That's what Jump says all the time.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

The Spanish or Japanese Kanzenban? The only things is that it's got a lot of humor that only someone from Spain would get [political and pop culture references and whatnot]. Other than that, it's pretty enjoyable!

Spanish Kanzenban; picked it up when I was studying abroad there about a year ago in Granada.

Very nice! I picked up their re-released tankoubon when I studied there! :)

I got Kanzenban 34 as a gift as well along with these Dragon Fall books, I wish I could get the rest someday!

I have to admit that I laughed at the last one. Although, the last one should have read somthing like "Chinga tu madre" and it would've had more of a insult than the popular English explicitive. They just wanted every English-speaking in-DUH-vidual to know the feeling and sentiment of the GOODBYE and GOOD RIDDENCE! from Gokuh. Yup.

I really like the "Cell-within-a-cell-within-a-Cell" I wonder what they're about.

No idea. I remember reading a scanlation of the first chapter, but I don't remember reading any more of it. Would asking for scanlations of Dragon Fall be against the rules, since it's not licensed in the USA? Note that I'm not asking for scanlations, just if it would be against the rules to do so.

I second this ( if possible).

Since Dragon Fall is a parody, (legal mumbo-jumobo goes here), check out "Onemanga" for some translated chapters.

It was being scanlated at one point, but I think the group died after about 5 chapters.

I remember seeing some of these; they were hilarious. XD

Would love to read a translation some time if there is one out there.

That phrase isn't used in Spain. Not only that but the "Fuck You!" is done in English to parody the fact that volume 42 of the manga had "Thank You! Good-bye!" written in English as well.

I checked and they didn't have it...

*Checks last book* 47 issues and 3 Special Issues.

What¨s the difference between these editions and the regular ones? I am currently collecting french-translated editions from the normal spanish edition.

I liked them all until I got to the least one, needlessly vulgar and the Spanish seem to like the middle finger gesture a lot.
