-The thing at the end with Goku eating Vegeta's sushi because he thought he wasn't going to eat it, while Vegeta was actually especially saving it for last, is very similiar to a chapter of Dr. Slump where Kinoko's father makes the same mistake.
Apparently, this was translated by a one, "Anthony Carl Kim," which sounds like either a Chinese or Korean name. I can't find any info on him, but I'm pretty sure he works for Shueisha and/or Toei in some manner. He probably referenced the manga for attack names and such.
Ah, thank you. Man, my hearing's crap. I've never heard the expression "Romper Room is over" before. But then, I never heard "Don't stand on ceremony" before I saw it used in bootleg subtitles.
It's not a very common expression nowadays. At least, I don't think. I remember my grandfather, of all people, using it on some occasions when I was being too much of a "rapscallion" for him.

Also, my listening skills are pretty crap, too. Although, subbing animu has increased them a great deal.

Furthermore, I love how Lunch was at the end like "LOL HAY GAYS I WAS HERE THE ENTIRE TIME."

Vegeta's reaction to Tarble's wife was perfect.

And Master Roshi's line about Saiyans choosing strange wives is going in my sig.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Lolz @ Grey's reaction to Vegeta and Kakkarot eating. It's like she hasn't seen her husband eat like that..?

Anyways, I like it a lot and the animation. 8)

The animation was gorgeous. I had some problems with freezing during some of the fights, but I guess that's because too many people are watching it worldwide right now.

I never liked Trunks and Goten during the Buu Saga, and this did nothing to change my view. It was, however, entirely worth watching for the amazing interactions between Goku and Vegeta. While I was personally hoping for something a little more along the lines of DBZ Movie 12 or 13, this was pretty good overall. I'm wondering what Funimation will eventually do with it, assuming they release it in the future. If nothing else, that DVD will look amazing (not that Funimation can really take credit for that).

Guys get over it, the way this special was presented looked like something you'd see done with Flash so I highly doubt it will be releaced on DVD over here.

And to my surprise the special doesen't play through again once you have the will to see it lagging right to the very end, so unlike youtube where you see a video once and after it's loaded you can see it again this special on jumpland demands a loading time even once you see it first.

So don't bother wasting precious time watching it and wait till it's torrented or something for gods sake... stop pointing out the obvious that it's slow as hell since nearly every post in this topic says that and I mean a lot ><

Don't be in a rush to watch it yet because their is pleanty of time and eventually someone to upload on youtube and torrent it, because its free to watch untill the end of January... so that's almost a good 3 months left ;3

I was able to watch all of it even with the freezing and shit. Besides, I thought the digital animation was awesome. I'd rather show support to Jump/Bird Studios for them even putting this up for us to view. They could have sad no just as easily. Isn't that right Mr/Mrs Split Personality?

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

This was awesome. I just watched this and the One Piece one. Just awesome. The subs aren't the best, but hey, they didn't have to do this to begin with.

The DB special was just simply fun and had good laughs. I really wish there were more specials like these. Just awesome.

I only had this one lag once. (so from the sound of it, I got lucky)

I had no lag on the DBZ special, but there was tons on the One Piece Special.

I'm getting insane amounts of lag. I'm pretty pissed right now!
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

Out of curiosity... I wonder if there are versions of it subbed in other languages - broadcasting to locations according IPs?

Yea, pretty much the case (though it was still watchable, not as bad as other people say). I am about to watch the other one...

Also, who will be able to get this I wonder:

So, if Funimation gets this, will they keep these subs or will they redo them?

How do I watch this?
When I click the "Watch This Anime" button, it pops up asking me if I want to open "DB-EN.sva" or if I want to download it.

I tried opening it with Firefox, but it just takes me to the page I got the file from.
I've searched on google, but it seems 'sva' is a bit to common to appear in things not related to media files.

You have to download the manga browser first. They have directions at the bottom of the page.

Thanks!
I have no idea how I missed that.

Now to figure out how to WATCH it, I just get a black screen (I can hear the audio, just no video)

A few notes from me (I didn't read all new pages in this thread ;) ).

I just watchted it with German subs. The subs aren't very good (dubnames, strange translations and so on).
Altough I have a pretty good connection and bitrate, the streaming was horrible. It lagged a lot.
