Evil Buu/Chibi Buu...
Evil Buu/Chibi Buu...
Why is it that when Mr. Buu is removed from Super Buu he turns into Chibi Buu? Why doesn't he return to Evil Buu (Skinny Buu).. I mean previously when Fat Buu seperated from him, Buu became Evil Buu and not Chibi Buu. I believe I read somewhere that they have the same power level although that is probably unofficial.
It makes little sense to me, also another question that recently popped into my head, how does Fat Buu even exist, considering he looks exactly the same as Chibi Buu did after he absorbed the Kaioshin? Wouldn't he technically not be able to exist without Chibi Buu?
This seems like a huge glaring plothole to me.. So I wonder, has it ever been explained?

Perhaps the Transformation Guide can provide some answers.

The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
Still doesn't make much sense lmao.
If Evil Buu is pure evil, and Fat Buu becomes Mr. Buu once Evil Buu is removed from his sytem, then wouldn't Evil Buu be the exact same thing as Chibi Buu? Sorry if that is confusing this whole matter seems confusing actually.NOTE: Technically, once Majin Buu vents out the "Evil" Buu, he becomes "Mr. Buu" (as further described below).
That's another thing that I don't get, but I guess the whole ordeal must have been left unexplained. When you really sit back and think about it, he shouldn't be able to co-exist with Chibi Buu... but whatever!
Nobody knows. At all. Logic dictates that he should have, which is why Vegeta freed Mr Boo from Super Boo in the first place.

Re: Evil Buu/Chibi Buu...
Evil Buu is the Evil inside of Mr. Buu. Pretty much he's just an alternate personality. As far as I was concerned with Kid Buu, he did the same thing that Mr. Buu did to Evil Buu and expelled him from his body which is why both of them were able to exist at the same time.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

The way I saw it, Evil Buu wasn't a seperate transformation as such, it was a manifestation of Buu's rage. It was similar to how the Namekian on Earth expelled his evil and it took the form of Piccolo. Then the evil side turned around and absorbed the good one, just like Piccolo later absored Kami, only by force.
But that's just my personal take on it.

Anyways I guess it makes sense as far as Evil Buu goes, but still doesn't make sense how Mr. Buu can exist without Chibi Buu. Oh well I guess everything doesn't make sense.
This makes sense to me:Bussani wrote:The way I saw it, Evil Buu wasn't a seperate transformation as such, it was a manifestation of Buu's rage. But that's just my personal take on it.
1) Bibidi creates an entity of Boo out of magic = Kid Boo
2) Buff Boo = Kid Boo + Northern Kaioshin
3) Majin Boo = Buff Boo + Dai Kaioshin
4) Majin Boo creates an entity of Boo out of his own rage and power = Skinny Boo.
Therefore Fat Boo = Majin Boo - Skinny Boo.
HOWEVER, Fat Boo + Skinny Boo is a recombination of that rage and power, all inside a form of Boo. So instead we get:
5) Super Boo =/= Fat Boo + Skinny Boo;
Super Boo = Majin Boo + Some entity of Boo (Buff Boo).
So when Vegeta pulls out Majin Boo, he thinks he's just pulling out Fat Boo. This is why Super Boo reverts to Buff Boo instead of Skinny. It also explains why Buff Boo couldn't maintain his form an immediately transformed into Kid Boo; the Northern Kaioshin was in Majin Boo.

Ok, lezee...
Fat Buu consisted of the absorbed Kaioshin and full-powered magic bubblegum.
When Evil and Good Buu split, both still had aspects of the Kaioshin in them; the Good Buu retained most, since the Kaioshin were the positive influence, but Evil "Skinny" Buu wasn't free of their influence.
Upon absorbing the Good buu, the Evil Buu was able to put the Kaioshin-essence into Fat Buu, and draw on Fat Buu's power... Basically, Super Buu was able to select what aspects of his victims he used (either that, or the "most powerful absorbee" thing--We saw Piccolo's outfit replace Gotenks' when Gotenks defused inside of Buu; perhaps Fat Buu was more powerful than the Kaioshin, so Super Buu took on more Buu-like characteristics than the Kaioshin stuff we saw on Evil and Fat Buu.).
Yeah, Super Buu is basically Kid Buu using Fat-Buu as a liver of sorts. Fat Buu took all the Kaioshin stuff away, but since it was still in there Super Buu was more conscious than Kid Buu.
When Fat Buu was removed, he was effectively the Kaioshin dissolved in Bubblegum; Kid Buu could no longer draw on that intity for self control, and reverted to his original form.
I don't think I made any sense. Evil Buu and Mr. Buu both had digested Kaioshin in them, but Super Buu filtered it out and used it more strategically after eating Mr. Buu... having the sideeffect that when Fat Buu was removed, there was no more Kaioshin in him, so instead of turning back to skinny Buu, he returned to his original form. ... am I making any sense at all?

He is for a fact. It's outright stated to be the case in the series.$ wrote:So do you guys think that Mr. Buu is made up of Northern Kaioshin and Dai Kaioshin?
He does resemble Dai Kaioshin quite a bit..

Re: Evil Buu/Chibi Buu...
That's one of the really classic, age old questions. If you searched a little, you'd find at least a dozen topics asking the exact same thing. lol$ wrote:Why is it that when Mr. Buu is removed from Super Buu he turns into Chibi Buu?
The true answer to keep things simple has always been, "Toriyama just made it up as he went."
The way it seemed to work was, Evil Buu was basically the other Buu gone bad, so he was the same person. The reason he pleaded for Vegeta not to rip out the other Buu was because that's where who he is comes from, which is why he said, "I won't be me, anymore!" Ripping him out was the same as if you ripped the Kaioshins out of Fat Buu. It's like it seperated the two, making one Buu the same as he was before dividing(which is why Vegeta insisted on killing him so he wouldn't risk giving rise to the evil Buu, again) and the other was Buu, and nothing but Buu, making him Pure Buu.
Fat Buu is Kid Buu with the two Kaioshin's added in.
Thin Buu is the reflection of Fat Buu, all the evil desires that are in Buu, plus whatever minute evil influences exist in the Kaioshin's make up Thin Buu.
Super Buu is basically Fat Buu but operating more efficiently. Super Buu is not Kid Buu, but an aspect of the original Fat Buu, but is probably as close to being Kid Buu as one can get, and still be rational.
Kid Buu is the original Buu, when Fat Buu and all requisite parts got pulled out, there was nothing left of the outside influences in Majin Buu's system, therefore he reverted back to Kid Buu.

Yeah I know that, but I meant ONLY the Northern and Dai because it would seem without Kid Buu, that Mr. Buu wouldn't exist unless he had like some sort of base? If that makes any sense...Bussani wrote:Yeah, I don't see why anyone would think otherwise. Anyways thanks for the responses guys.
I guess what confused me is the fact that Mr. Buu's appearance didn't change at all from the time he was removed from Kid Buu, although Kid Buu was originally part of him when he was introduced to the story.
The whole Toryiama hadn't thought it up yet also makes sense.
Ah, I see what you mean. I think by that point the Dai Rou Kaioshin and Northern Kaioshin had become irreversibly ingrained in Mr Buu. Maybe that happens after someone's been part of Buu for a long time? Just an idea.$ wrote:Yeah I know that, but I meant ONLY the Northern and Dai because it would seem without Kid Buu, that Mr. Buu wouldn't exist unless he had like some sort of base?
