Yajirobe's strength
How did Yajirobe get so strong? When he's first introduced, he's one of the strongest humans in the world. How did he get that power? Something that adds to the mystery is the fact that he seems to have no interest in training. The only explanation I can think of is that he's an alien.

I don't think it needs any explanation. He lived in the wilderness, killing to eat. That's the only explanation for his strengh.
Though I think that Toryama probably some something else in his mind when he created that guy, but eventually scrapped it, along with the entire charachter.

I had the same feeling; Like Toriyama originall meant for Yadjirobe to be Goku's main rival, instead of Vegeta. As for his strength, the only thing I can think of is he's a mutant, like how the Ginyu force was made up of the most exceptional of each race. If he had actually been serious about training, he probably could've been as strong as Goku, without the SSJ.
He is a samurai.
Samurai are disciplined and dedicated warriors.
Yajirobe likely trained his whole life before meeting Goku.
Japanese legend speaks of Samurai which were almost godlike in strength, and whose swords made the sound of sonic booms.
It is not utterly inconceivable that he could be close to goku's strength, which was still well within the limits of human power. Goku didn't really start becoming Godlike until he trained UNDER a God, but even that was no match for the Saiya-jin harbinger, Radditzu.

He lived in the wilderness, fighting against dinossaurs and other monsters to live on. That is training, and a good one at that.WhatTheDarn wrote:I don't think these theories of "he just trained his whole life" are right. I mean, as I said, he has absolutely NO interest in training.
Also, he's obviously a Sayajin...
