Either way, I'm happy this never happened:

They gave Vegeta a moustache for gods sake!!!
Yeah! And that stupid Buu arc! Gave Kuririn HAIR!!! And what about that whole making Goku grow up before the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai? MADNESS!!!
That was done by Akira Toriyama himself in the manga. No comparison.

So, if Toriyama added the same facial hair to Vegeta, it'd be fine?

I'm assuming it would actuually look good so yes.

Nono, I mean the same exact hair, the way it looks in GT. For all I know, Toriyama put the 'stache on Vegeta in one of his character concept sketches(my knowledge in this area is EXTREMELY limited, so I don't know).
Just saying "Toriyama didn't do it" doesn't explain why it's bad.

Toriyama doing such a poor design is science fiction. You might as well ask "What if Toriyama laid cyborg eagle squids and they ate North Dakota?" Its much more likely than him producing a design as bad as that.

I love the end when Roshi is watching the last little bout between Goku and Kuririn. Made me cry when reflecting to the point when they were kids.
50TH POST!
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

I might be wrong about this, but didn't Toriyama do the design for GT Trunks? I think I actually heard Mike or Meri say it in the podcast before...

Think you might be thinking of his robot buddy, Gil, who was indeed designed by Toriyama. Although it's a possibility he also gave Trunks his weird choice in clothes.

I actually like the GT outfit for Trunks...
It fit with the whole adventure theme.

Yes! I'm so happy I'm not the only one who liked this design.
I also think that something drastic had to be done to separate this Trunks from Future Trunks, since they look exactly alike and all, and I seriously didn't need to see another character in a gi.

What I took Vegeta to mean by not having hair growth wasn't that their hair didn't grow, but that it reached a certain natural size and shape and after that it just stayed there. So if Vegeta chopped all his hair off it would grow back into that famous shape he's always had but nothing else.

My thoughts exactly, I'll never understand how people interpreted it as "Once you cut Saiya-jin hair, it grows back IMMEDIATELY!".

I agree. But the moustache thing is kind of confusing. Who knows, maybe Vegeta does have to shave it daily to get it off.

I'd like to know exactly what things Toriyama actually put into GT... I have heard he DID NOT design SSJ4... sooo I am willing to bet he didn't design much of the characters or anything.
*shrug*
The thing is, I just don't like what they did with Vegeta's moostache. I think it was a dumb idea and they ruined his look by giving him that and cutting his hair.

From what I have heard he did. Originally i think it had golden fur, but he said no. I think this happened, but I am insane.

They watched Dead Zone and noticed Goku's hair get chopped in one scene and see it's back to normal in the next.

Yeah, that's the scene that always gets brought up, isn't it?
I think they were just too lazy to draw him with a bit of hair missing for the rest of the film.

Nah. I always see it as a comedic effect, especially the goofy look on Goku's face as he goes to dodge the blade.
